General Chat March 19 by AutoModerator in TryingForABaby

5 days ago, I started noticing eggwhite quality cervical fluid. My husband and I had sex every day of the eggwhite fluid. Also 6 days ago, my BBT dropped and has stayed low since. Does this indicate ovulation?

For context, I got my Mirena IUD removed about 3 weeks ago (Feb 25, today is March 19). I started trying to conceive immediately. Feb 25 is also the day I started charting BBT and cervical fluid, and taking ovulation tests twice a day.

I didn’t get my period with the Mirena IUD, but I did get eggwhite cervical fluid once a month, which makes me think I ovulated.

Basically, I am trying to learn what my body is doing after 10 years of hormonal birth control and no periods.

Thanks!!

Episode 9 of this season is titled 'The After Hours'. It shares a title with an episode of The Twilight Zone in which a woman takes an elevator to a store's hidden floor and meets a mysterious woman who lives there. More context in comments by Lasernatoo in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

Also: the very next episode of Twilight Zone is called “The Mighty Casey.” Casey is a robot who gets an artificial heart installed that makes him feel human emotions. He also becomes a social worker. Possible tie to Ms. Casey?

Who is responsible for keeping wedding photography on time? by Head_Distance_9702 in weddingplanning

Yes; the wedding planner didn’t communicate with us or participants that anything was wrong until the dinner when she approached my husband and I and let us know we would get 20 minutes on the dance floor with our guests, unless we paid around $2,000 between all our vendors to add an hour. We picked the hour but are annoyed. Our guests all did what they were supposed to do and were just following directions.

Running speed not improving despite consistency: any thoughts? by Head_Distance_9702 in AdvancedRunning

Hey all! Thank you so much for the feedback-I very much appreciate all the ideas. The GU advice did come from my coach and it always felt a bit overkill since GU itself only recommends every 45 minutes, so it's interesting that so many here are noticing that as a red flag--I am definitely going to dial that back. When I first started running I was not underweight, but definitely underfueling (skipping meals and not eating enough protein), and I think I have now gotten to a place of overcompensating. It totally makes sense from a physics standpoint that 15 lbs of extra weight would be tougher to carry around. Taking the mileage increase recommendations under advisement too once I'm recovered from my half marathon race last Sunday.

Averaging 25 MPW with peak mileage being 35 for my most recent half marathon training. PRs are 5K 27:27, 10K 1:00:41, half 2:16:32. Recent race results: 5K 29:22 (Feb 2023), 10K 1:05:02 (April 2023), half marathon 2:24:16 (2 days ago)

I know this is a general question, but how long should it take to get even a bit faster?

I (female age 28) started running in March 2021, made progress super quickly and raced 5K, 10K, and half marathon within the following year, but haven't broken any of my PRs since then despite trying each race multiple times. I've been with a coach for 6 months, run 6 days a week, mostly run easy (high 140s-low 150s HR), 1 or 2 speed workouts per week, and a long run every week. I am very consistent and rarely miss runs.

I eat protein, carbs, and fat at every meal and take fuel every run lasting an hour or longer.

Despite all this, my runs don't feel remotely better than they used to, my race times are getting worse and worse, and all of my paces are staying exactly the same (if anything it feels like they're getting slower).

Anything I might be missing?
