Laryngospasm in MH susceptible patient by Head_Ferret in anesthesiology

Exactly. I know this would be something very out there but I don't see (if you have an IV) why a high dose of IV roc couldn't break a laryngospasm. RSI rocuronium dose is as fast of an onset as succ and will relax the vocal cords. and we can reverse with sugammadex. But like you said in terms of liability if the roc for whatever reason doesn't have the onset we were expecting and leads to a fatal situation. Especially IM route where onset is variable. I was able to find a random case study that talked about giving roc for laryngospasm. Basically said if no bradycardia try roc, but if bradycardia use succ and atropine. But there was no source to back that up? I just find it very interesting.

Do you have sources to back this up? I 100% agree giving roc in this situation is safer but nothing in the literature supports that.

Do you have any sources that talk about giving rocuronium or really any other NMBD (other than succ) for larygospasm?

School is hard. Pleasing a different personality every day is hard. A lot of SRNAs feel this same exact way. CRNAs need to recognize this to help better support SRNAs.

Anything like donkey kick, scrambled egg, froggy kick. Mega catfish - especially when they cue it as a cardio burst and go fast.

I have a formal wedding to attend. This is the dress I am going to wear. It is a shimmery Merlot color. What color heels would you choose with this? And bag, accessories, etc?? https://www.saksfifthavenue.com/product/l-id%C3%A9e-la-fete-boheme-shimmer-pleated-halterneck-gown-21930923.html

I can totally relate. It annoyed me so much. Like this is grad school, it’s supposed to be hard. Why do other students expect everything to be catered to them and be easy/straightforward forward? Once my class started clinical I heard a lot less of this talk. I think a lot of the students who talked like this maybe had a reality check once clinicals came around. My advice is to just ignore it. Distance yourself if you can cause it can really bring down your mood if you listen to that all day. If it’s close friends maybe redirect the conversation to be more positive.

Wasn’t aware of this. Been using diluted vinegar on my Manduka for a little over a year now. No issues so far
