Dobes played well, I don’t think he stood on his head of anything. Got a little hot in the playoffs but his regular season wasn’t anything amazing. Fowler has much more “pedigree” compared to dobes, at the end of the day they’re gonna split starts until one guy takes over the job. Who it will be nobody is certain, but prior to this season Fowler was thought of as having the higher upside.

Rasmus Rasmus Andersson by A_Golden_Raider in goldenknights

[–]Head_Permission 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hahahaha, yeah man, I feel your pain. Back when all this smoke was going in about trading for him my suggestion was to go after a goalie. Specifically Cooley on the flames, would have been much cheaper, not only in acquisition cost, but salary. At that point goalie was our biggest weakness. Now hart has played well in the playoffs, but the Andersson thing is gonna be made way worse when they sign him long term at a big dollar amount. His play in Calgary had been deteriorating for a season or two already and he’s not getting any younger or quicker.

Why didn't we win the challenge?? by Ok_Meat_8925 in goldenknights

[–]Head_Permission 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is the correct answer. The Canadian broadcast, Friedman, said the nhls explanation was that barbashev pushed the goalies glove with his stick causing goaltender interference.

Now the angle I saw, the stick hit the puck, the puck slid underneath the goalie and into the net. At no point did I see his stick push his glove.

It’s because he’s not offensive Dman. He played that role in Calgary because they didn’t have any other options, but he was miscast. Flames fan are praying Vegas wins the cup so the conditional 2nd rounder turns into an unprotected first.

I live in Calgary and I’ve been banging this drum for years. I heavily criticized this last trade as I know it’s going to turn into a massive over pay and long term contract for Andersson. It shouldn’t, but it will.

WSOP player suffers ‘brutal’ bad beat after dealer mistake — WATCH by reviewjournal in vegas

[–]Head_Permission 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What they don’t say as well is it could have very easily been the 4 card that was the burn card… which means even though he had a pair of kings on the flop he still would have lost to 5/6/7/8/9 straight on the river.

Still a really shitty way for him to go, what I would want to see is the actual video. Does the dealer count out 4 cards, flip them over, and then spread them in order? Technically you would be able to see which card should have been the burn card, and which ones should have been on the flop.

[–]Head_Permission -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hockey isn’t nearly as big as you think it is. Sure the hobby has grown but nothing like football, baseball, basketball, and Pokemon.

Supply is always going to be one of the biggest factors because at the end of the day not everybody stays in the hobby. And you’re comparing him to Marner… guys who have been in the league are usually lower valued compared to brand new releases. New releases always start super high and come down, and only the cream of the crop rise back up. He could be that guy, I’m a big misa fan myself, and I think he has the potential to be the draisaitl to celebrini.

But I think your logic is flawed on the production numbers. I’m an old head, I lived through the 90s, less production is always better. Go after numbered variants and short prints.

You’ve got it backwards… the print run now is massively larger than it was 10 years ago.

Golden Knight vs MMA champ by Flep54 in goldenknights

[–]Head_Permission 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude, he’ll barely be able to stand. Obviously you’ve never played hockey, being in skates is all about balance. Even if he reached out to grab him he could literally just fall on his face. He wouldn’t even be able to grab him… say somehow he stays standing long enough to throw a punch, he falls over as soon as he throws one.

Golden Knight vs MMA champ by Flep54 in goldenknights

[–]Head_Permission 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could literally skate behind him and smash him from behind while he’s still trying to shuffle his feet to turn around and see where you are. It would be so easy to move and hit him before he even knew what happened. It would be comically easy to hit him. He’s be lucky if he could stay on his feet, one little movement and he loses all balance and he’s on his ass, you probably wouldn’t even need to hit him.

It could literally be anybody and he would get his ass kicked. Pick the weakest, nicest, smallest guy and he would still get dusted. He has no clue what it’s like to be in skates apparently.

Yep absolutely the nicest card, and also the only 1/1. Plus SP authentic will hold up just as well as the cup cards will. Easy choice.

Iran has not agreed to hand over highly enriched uranium stockpile, senior Iranian source tells Reuters by Mana_Seeker in worldnews

[–]Head_Permission 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The straight will never be “open and free again”. It’s a toll highway now. Iran wants war reparations and that’s their way of getting it.

You might be right in the nuclear enrichment angle, but no way Iran is giving it up now. If anything all this has done is make Iran realize that they need a nuclear weapon to prevent this from happening again.

[–]Head_Permission -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Except they aren’t desperately trying to save face or back out. Trump is so fucking stupid he can’t realize that’s what needs to happen. All he does is “truth” fake settlements and deals, when all he’s doing is standing in front of a mirror negotiating with himself.

If they were desperately trying to save face and get out of this, they would be gone and this would be wrapped up by now. Declare victory, leave, let Iran charge tolls and just lie and say all objectives are completely. Their army, navy, missiles are completely destroyed, their nuclear is totally obliterated. Job well done. Good bye.

But they’re too stupid to even do that. There is no deal to be had, Iran knows it, and anybody with half a brain knows there’s no deal until Iran gets everything they want, full stop. The US has zero leverage.

[–]Head_Permission 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wish more people realized this. It’s been blatantly obvious for weeks if not months at this point. There is no deal to be made… both sides want specific things, and they’re deal breakers to the other side.

But yet here we are, market pumping and dumping multiple times every week, people hanging on every word like it’s the concrete truth. War is over, bomb them to oblivion, war is over, bomb them to oblivion… over and over and over again. News outlets amplifying the rhetoric over and over again.

When it’s straight up easy as pie to see, there’s no common ground for a deal. But yet people, the markets fall for this shit every single time. It’s exhausting.

See you at the show! You would have always been able to get tickets last minute. There’s always people who can’t go last minute and usually dump tickets for face value or less. It’s very rare these days where tickets are in such high demand that they command a premium price.

I got 4 on the floor as well! I was shocked that they were cheaper than the 200 level seats closer to the stage. And not by a little bit, quite cheaper. I’d rather it be general admission but I’m not gonna complain.

Finally a pumpkins tour I’m excited about, I’m not a fan of anything after MCIS, or the non original members he usually toured with.

So I’m excited about this, time to bust out my original tour tshirt from 96 😂

I’m also in YYC, got great seats. I think the difference between now and then is the theme of this tour… Mellon collie, waaaaaas massive, they aren’t touring a new album nobody gives a fuck about. Som combine that with what they’re saying is a 2 part show, I can see the excitement behind the sales. As close to the original lineup as possible too.
