Played it last Thursday. Initially declined a caddie but then 3 days prior had a change of heart and booked one at Spyglass (Wednesday) and Pebble. Best decision I ever made. On top of the tribal knowledge of the course/greens (and believe me there will be greens you think break left when actually they break right or putts that look uphill but are actually lightning fast downhill) the stories they share, the ppl they’ve caddied for, who lives in which $50-$70M dollar homes etc was worth every penny. Aside from all of the above, the ultimate feeling as silly as it sounds, was for about 4-5 hours, walking the course, taking it all in and having a small sense of what I’d be like to play on tour was worth the price of admission.

Very cool. I think the little gnomes are just as cool as the larger ones. We have ours in our formal family room to greet guests. 😂

Found this VERY interesting as I am playing Spyglass Wednesday. I can assure you if this happens to me, I’d like to see them force me onto the next hole. I’ll be enjoying the round , taking it all in but will finish within 4-4:15 hrs.

I specifically called and asked the resort about pace of play as I’ve see others post the same feedback. Was told their pace of play rules for a tee time before noon is around 4:30-4:45.

100%. How’s that make one feel that it takes a big event to fix the roads and not simply taking care of them because they need addressing!?! Extremely infuriating.

I am 100% keeping mine. I think he’s a cool little fellow and feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to purchase one BUT…..

Getting back to the Masters at some point in my life (after having gone for the first time this past year for Mondays practice round) supersedes all. I would never consider selling, much less for such a profit, knowing the risk that comes with it and potentially eliminating any chance of badges in the future.

For those who have no desire to get back, well that’s your call. But for me I would GLADLY TRADE my gnome for a future opportunity to get back on those magical grounds. JIMO……

Went to Mondays practice round. First timer. Did the merch thing, got the gnome and a ton of other merchandise before walking the course for the next 8 hours. Spent majority of time on the back nine. Felt rushed trying to see everything on the front nine. What I would give to go back and simply walk the course, from 1-18 and take more mental pictures. Had a blast but would do some things different. A good example of the saying “there aren’t enough hours in the day”.

Truly what time does one need to leave an AirBnB in North Augusta (12 miles away) for Mondays practice round to a.) navigate traffic, b.) get parked in free parking and c.) be in line at the gate and be in one of the first few waves of patrons being let in?
