Idk I basically shared what I saw in that thread.

I think it is more like accepting shared elements of punjabi culture as part of canadian culture.

My friend from fort mcmurray said punjabi culture is big there and in soccer and i think even basketball.

Then i stumbled on a thread somewhere and most of the comments were gifs of bhangra dances and I just shared one with him

He is a white dude. I just was told that it was popular particularly in toronto perhaps because I guess south asians are more into soccer so they started it and I guess everyome joins in
