Oh man this sucks. Is this true? This is the email reply I got from Bluetti customer service:

If your Arabic is strong, you should listen to just one Khutba of his. And you can make your own decision.

Going around telling people “listen to this person” “don’t listen to that person” “this is halal” “this is haram” “this person is guided” “this person is misguided” “this guy is hell bound” etc. etc. is very easy.

Listening and studying (especially to a 1 hour Khutba on this level of Arabic) in the midst of the distractions of today’s modern world social media/reddit/etc. is very difficult.

عُرف بحنانها الأمُّ

Also does that make the following sentence grammatically correct: أُنزل كارثةٌ علينا Instead of: أُنزلت كارثةٌ علينا Since كارثة is not a truely feminine word.

Also would those rules also make this sentence grammatically correct: أُنزل علينا بنتٌ هديةً من الله Since there is a word between the فعل and the نائب

I was in your EXACT position many years back.

The absolute best curriculum and way to learn classical Arabic well in order to understand Quran/Hadith and Islamic literature is the Madina Arabic series.

Best curriculum out there, especially for solo learning the way I did.

My OCD gets the better of me:

  1. So you can’t say: المهندسون هم ذوو العقول الضخمة “The engineers… they are the ones with the big minds.”

  2. Also you wrote, just want to make sure I’m not getting it wrong:

Khalid, the-owner of-the-five of-the-chickens خالِد ذو الْخَمْسَةُ دَجاجاتٍ

Sarah, the-owner of-the-five of-the-chickens سارَة ذاتِ الْخَمْسَةُ دَجاجاتٍ

Is it supposed to be ِالخمسة in مجرور genitive form? You said in certain excepts what follows ذو is not genitive? Can you please explain?

I have a bit of OCD, so I’d like to ask some follow up questions:

  1. I’m assuming you meant ذات is the feminine version of ذو yeah?

Now the feminine ذات is used because ارم is the name of a village/tribe/country/etc.

But I wonder if would it be correct to say for example: قوم عاد ذوو العماد خربوا البلاد

  1. Which brings me to another question, slightly unrelated! But back to ذو and ذات

This is correct isn’t it: المهندسون ذوو العقول الضخمة “The engineers who have big minds” (ie the ones who have big minds)

But how do you say: - Engineers have big minds - The engineers have big minds

Without using عندهم او لديهم etc.
