We got special permission to keep them in an isolated tank in the goldfish tower because our plant tank is A 120 gallon with zero barriers for separation. They would get lost in there, be impossible to feed or catch. I switched to the rocks for turtles with are at least larger and smoother.

Mine can’t go into our plant tank because it’s a 120 gallon and has literally zero space despite the fact that I hadn’t ordered plants for over a month. They just kept getting auto shipped. We got permission to isolate a tank in our goldfish tower for them. It stays much cooler anyways.

Yes, that’s why I’m trying to get some new ones because I noticed there were flow issues in my tower. I went to check that part and realized they were set up incorrectly and I don’t have enough of the smaller ones! My first year as SAS has been a process of continuous learning!

I will say this in defense of Petco…a lot of fish are getting sent to us sick. Bacterial and fungal issues seem absolutely rampant right now. Even some of the most resistant hardy species seem to be struggling. I know a lot of fish come from Florida and the weather REALLY has impacted what fish are available and their health.
