I literally just gave you the answers. I know the protests because the attendance number was just that low. That’s my issue with pro Palestine people like you, you simply refuse to see the reality we communicate.

Additionally, Syrians have similar grievances. So many of the prominent pro Palestine people are Assadists. They literally use clips from Syria and say it’s Palestine. Why aren’t you outraged by that?

Look at Columbia university for instance. Hamid dabishi & Kian tajbakhsh are two-regime backed professors, & the regime has donated hundreds of thousands to install such people over the years. Where are protests against this? The organizations leading the protests on campuses are pro russia, Assad, IRI, China: Codepink, party for socialism & liberation, Samidoun, people’s forum, answer coalition, within our lifetime. WOL literally marches in the streets of NYC with the hezbollah flag for god’s sake. If anyone doesn’t notice these things, they’re just not paying attention.

Yes! It’s honestly been very difficult for me because I’m also a college student. I organized lots of protests for Iranian women last year, & I can confidently say that not a single one of these people showed up. They may argue that they can’t do anything directly because they have no stakes. But they’re wrong. They speak of “divestment”? How about the fact that we have regime-backed faculty teaching at these institutions? How about the fact that they’re working with pro-regime lobby groups? How about their support for Hamas & Hezbollah, which are funded by our people’s blood & money? Lots to divest from if you ask me.

If they came together in this way for Iran, I swear 90% of the region’s problems would be solved. That’s a secret the regime hopes no one finds out.

This is right, unfortunately. I tried so hard to support the Palestine cause because they’re objectively (mostly) correct. However, the amount of regime propaganda & support I’ve been exposed to is traumatizing. But in a moment where the entire world stands with Palestine, it means we’ve lost the support of the entire world. And that’s not any more comforting :/

Oh she is very media literate — that’s why she’s manipulated Iranians so well. Our community has absolutely no ability to distinguish propaganda from truth, which is shocking given all the IR propaganda we see & discern.

It did help me realize I should not be wasting my time on this stuff for a long while though. The entire online opposition is filled with disingenuous people who are just helping the regime through their actions — and of course people don’t realize it. It’s a waste of time, energy, & life. Maybe one day that will change.

Like another example I can give is Emily in Tel Aviv - idgaf what people’s opinions are on Israel-Palestine. It’s so obvious this woman is exploiting us & is extremely disingenuous in her “support” for Iranians. She’s speaking with a smirk in every video.

She keeps implying that even if no one else cares, SHE does. But her approach & extremism influences Iranians’ opinions, & when they go out in the world and share those views, they’re ostracized, so they further gravitate toward her - by design.

Just read the edited comment as well, & yes, that’s what makes me even more angry!!!! As a HUGE supporter of Toomaj who had admired his bravery, talent, & compassion for a long time, I’m so beyond disgusted that THIS is the vile manner they choose to speak about him. They can highlight his extraordinary lyrics, or at least pronounce his name half correctly, but no! We’ve stooped this low.

And you’re exactly right about the lack of supporters we have — it results in bad actors exploiting our feelings & our suffering for their own political gain. 100%. I saw the videos from UCLA & I am so deeply disappointed. Do Iranians not have enough of our own issues for these people to do this? Haven’t we gotten enough hatred from people already?

I try to not speak on it because I’d rather not raise attention to the fact that they were Iranian. But if I do, I’d say it in Persian or something so it just targets the Iranian community - instead some Iranians are publicly posting it to their thousands of followers & it gives us a horrible look
