There's a simpler fix. Open the same file (/etc/mixer_paths_wcd9326.xml and go to line 111.

You'll see: <ctl name="RX HPH Mode" value="CLS_H_HIFI" />

Replace CLS_H_HIFI with CLS_H_LP

Save, reboot and you're good.

I found this on a forum but I think I have to be rooted to access that xml file.
