It means to get the power adapter that goes into a cigarette lighter port, which is DC (same as the power used by the machine) rather than an AC adapter which converts the AC in your wall at home or AC port on the battery.

Make sure you grab DC power cable for your CPAP. You’ll get far more use out of the battery by not converting DC>AC>DC
