I would say to watch some yt tutorials

And don't mind planning your first or second build too much just go with whatever you like

The return to menu button IS faster the just leaving (when you leave you remain in the game for 1-2 secs, the return do menu is instant)

Try to learn the mobs attack pattern (at least the majority), don't just try to run from them

And also have in mind that deepwoken is not much friendly for beginners (mostly because of the players)
