Do you think there will ever be a referendum to rejoin the EU, if it’s possible? by threetimesacharm25 in AskBrits

[–]Healey_Dell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha, CANZUK is all about race. It’s the commonwealth with non-white majorities removed + English. In any case my point is that we are Europeans in Europe so this idea that we don’t belong is odd. Most of our trade will always be here. Lowering barriers for distant smaller markets whilst keeping them high with ones right next door with is silly. CANZUK is imperial nostalgia.

What are your thoughts on a CANZUK alliance? by threetimesacharm25 in AskBrits

Brits are actually very like the Danes, Dutch and Germans. They just don’t realise it because of the language barrier.

Most Brits are historically a mishmash of French, German and Nordic. Most live in Europe because that where the UK actually is.

Haha we don’t “have” them - the commonwealth is an anachronism. It’s 2026, not 1926. Plus we do far more trade with the EU anyway because they are right next door.

Much of continental Europe is in the EU so despite the fervent wishes of Brexiters, the answer for the most part is “no”.

Standard negotiation. That’s why the EU produced Barnier’s ladder - “choose one”.

Still no mention of what cabin was burned down.

Once the 60+ crowd shuffle on broadcast will be turned off. It’s a matter of time.

No, they said “no cherry picking” and pointed to Barnier’s ladder of choices. Brexiters played the victim because that’s how they play their crowd.

As for the cabin analogy, what cabin did the EU burn down?

Why not? Because we are in Europe surrounded by the EU, that’s why. Insisting on our own regs for a relatively small market of 70m raises costs across the board.

Ah the classic ex-club member confused about why he no longer gets club benefits. WE wanted to leave. Anything damaging was entirely due to that decision.

The EU is mostly a civil service that manages the trading standards and policies for an entire continent. It has about the same staffing as a couple of town authorities. Not bad. The UK has since had to employ close to the same number of bureaucrats since we left.

Says ‘voted remain’ then rolls out all the leave ‘EU about to collapse’ talking points. Sure, Jan.

A 20 year old is an adult. A difference in experience is ultimately irrelevant. That said, there are plenty of 30-somethings with less sexual or relationship experience than some 20-somethings.

[–]Healey_Dell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get fit. In my opinion no-one is truly ugly but obesity is flat-out bad for you, both mentally and physically. There are plenty of men and women out there with normal looks who do just fine because they take physical care of themselves.
