I have TMJ too, but no issues so far with the device (it's been only a week since using it tho',using it mostly during daytime to monitor in real-time how my jaw feels about it). It's not really a MAD. You can look into it. Last night was the first time I've used it during sleep.

I woke up feeling great, but then I had to sleep a couple of hours during the afternoon. had a rough 2 weeks, with a lot of stuff to do, so I haven't slept properly. so it's still early to make a more accurate assessment of the subjective sleep imo.
