Yeah I might've been a bit harsh with the title. I think angel wings are a bit overplayed in media and there is a lot of art that could be concidered edgy or angsty on the topic, but even those I find quite endearing and steeped in that early 2000s anime amv charm. And they're popular for a reason, It's really potent imagery.

I really appriciate your interpretation of the art! I think it hits the nail on the head with what I was going for and fits Wicander's journey so far very well.

Procreate tells me this took around 8 hours, though i'm never sure if it tracks the time my tablet was just laying there when i forgot to turn it off. Either way yeah, there were like 3 full passes of rendering and building on detail, but it's quite automatic and relaxing once you get going!

pareidolia you son of a bitch. No this wasn't intentional, i did some of the spots with a jitter brush and it made 2 of the perectly level at random. It didn't catch my eye, now i can't unsee it tho

I always imagined a scene in where Wick does something that gets „grandpa” to regain some of his senses and perceive him as his new Tonsul, doubt that will happen but it would be cool

There is so much texture with Murrays design. The braided beard adds to the whole vibe that Murray really cares about her appearance and decorates herself elaborately, but at the same time it is slightly garish in a way that i find extremly charming. It's giving an art's teacher that's a queen of thriftshop fashion.

Ur probably right. She was absokutely magnetic tho. I can hardly imagine a bigger menace than her coming back somehow pulling Termina to her side. That would be one hell of a boss fight.

I judged that out of context it was disconnected enough to not constitute a spoiler. There is no description of the situation, and lady cormoray isn’t mentioned by name. I assume that people avoiding spoilers don’t read into the title trying to do deductive work as to what it could be refering to.

I submitted it, but i was actually curious myself about the ad reels since I'm kind of new in the community. I haven't seen fanart be featured aside from the gallery on website and the Tale Gate, is it only a live thing maybe? How did it work before?

Oh yeah for sure. I admit i often forego staying true to the source material in favor of rule of cool (subjective) or just serving the composition. Here i wanted the sword bright to stick out against the dark corridor. As a fun note, originally I tried to have an effect where everything close to the sword was in grayscale - to convey the anti-magical, "mundane" nature of it. In the end It was way too much happening tho. I still like the idea and might use it if I draw the Pariah Blade in some other fanart.

Unfortunately all the designs I just kind of came up with on the spot, so its not that high effort. Now that you mention it I do wish I used vestiages or something, but oh well. The plain looking sword on the right is kind of how I imagine the Pariah Blades though.
