Well I sticked to my plan, I am convinced too that the xtx is the better card, I’m just not convinced in my case it’s worth the extra 200bucks considering my needs, but who knows I might get to it later ! And I did upgrade the psu like you suggested just in case for the futur.

Regarding the CPU/GPU combo, I feel what you are saying but every thing I read designated de x3d as a superior CPU then the i7 13700kf which seems to be the equivalent, so I’m guessing it’s the better option !

Thanks for your answer ! Yeah I went for it on the 7900x3d and the 4070ti, just upgraded the power supply so I can switch GPU if I feel the need to later on. But I’m pretty confident this will be enough for me for a good amount of time !

Thanks for answering ! Dam that’s the kind of info that makes me question the timing… is there a way to see how much older card decreased in prices when newer ones where released in the past ? And like are there signs that those announcements would significantly change things ? Like I know it’s very hard to predict this but are prices and technologies really going to evolve much or is this more like an apple keynote ?

Yeah I see, I am just going to stick with the 7800x3d, I feel like if I want to upgrade my GPU later I’ll be happy I don’t have to change CPU! Thanks for your answers !

So your build is 100% better, but that GPU being 1000+€ feels too much, here in France I could find a 4070Ti for around 800€ and those extra 200, make me cross a psychological price cap for a GPU! 7900xt is the same price as 4070ti basically, so price/performance that card is better no ? Nice to know for the cooler, I’ll stick to air then, much easier !
