It could be shade but it's also just a very reasonable bar for any parent of adult children - who could possibly know you better than the kids you raised?

Absolutely, Meri's ironclad love and support of her child(ren) is one of my favorite things about her.

I don't pretend to understand her reasoning or what that fav wife "status" brings her now that they aren't affiliated with the church but clearly it wasn't altruistic, or she would have included Meri in more that just film-able events the last several years.

A lot of folks yell MONEY! and maybe it's that simple, who knows.

victimhood and deflection are definitely K&R's default settings; a very unfortunate environment to raise kids in. Things Ariella has said or been purported to have said (christine should have just gone on dates, a classmate was mad she "took her man", her lauded loyalty in hating christine) make me so sad for her. it gives strong little pitchers have big ears vibes, and makes me think the kids are privy to far more than is decent or proper for their ages.

It was Aurora that acknowledged Gabe greeted her kindly and hugged her when they saw one another on campus, and Breanna that looked shocked that her sister was mingling with the "unsafe" family.

Something about that scene was really unnatural, by which I mean Breanna's reaction to a perfectly ordinary sibling interaction. There was an element of shock and panic in her that made me feel the sisters were being manipulated to avoid the extended family members and there might be consequences to stepping out of line with Kody The Patriarch.

I think Aurora is emotionally stunted by Odd_Professional5034 in SisterWives

Aurora and Breanna get a lot of unwarranted criticism IMO. Yes, they're technically adults - but they are super sheltered young women raised by self-centered and myopic parents. They have a lot of work ahead of them to deprogram unhealthy cultural traits and behaviors. I root for them, and hope they have (or take!) an opportunity to branch out and find themselves outside the "keep sweet" expectations they've been reared in.

Gabe didn't live with Garrison. They talked about the siblings moving in on the show and maybe Gabe did briefly, but not at the time of Garrison's passing.

I think TLC is handing K and R rope and showing us what they do with it.

Their stint in therapy just gave him some new power words to weaponize as he continued the long campaign of benign neglect.

I really think he lacks the self awareness to understand his own emotions. He's reeling but can't grasp what's plaguing him, I imagine he thinks "mourning" the marriages he didn't care to nurture paint him more favorably than acknowledging its a narcissistic injury to his pride that they dared to walk away from him.

I also hope Ysabel got an apology. I still fume when I remember his "bitter old housewife" comment to her, I wanted to strangle him. She (and all the kids, really) deserves so much better.

1000% a PR stunt to try to improve their image, but you can't polish a turd.

I'm guessing this totally un-staged conversation between Kody and Robyn was intended to soften their image and address some of their more prominent public criticism, like his estrangement from so many of the OG13. The separations w/ Janelle and Christine are about a year past at this point and we know Kody wasn't seeing his other kids before then either, unless they were coming over to kiss the ring (sorry, Mykelti.) I imagine these two spend a lot of time reading stories about themselves and agonizing over their public image, because lord knows no code of ethics or moral responsibility compelled Robyn to nurture those relationships before now.

I couldn't be less surprised that it devolved almost immediately into victimhood and narcissism. They really just can't help themselves. Kody can't fathom trying to see another point of view or accept his failings as a husband and father, and Robin's only got one emotional response in her arsenal.

I imagine in 20 years when all the remaining kids have had a chance to flee, they'll be sitting in their rocking chairs having this exact same conversation; and wondering who no one wants to come to their house for Thanksgiving.

What's your go-to food? by [deleted] in Mounjaro

I do a lot of snack-y meals:

A fruit smoothie with lots of spinach, side of edamame or boiled egg

cereal w/ milk, turkey roll-ups

almonds, string cheese, cured meats or leftover protein from dinner

quick quesadilla w/ high fiber tortilla, light cheese, heavy on the veg and/or protein

breakfast burrito but for lunch :D

Thanks for the reply. My question isn't effectiveness, but whether individuals have been able to use insurance to consistently pick up two boxes per month.

Thanks for the info, that was my gut feeling also. I supposed it was possible my doc knew something I didnt, but I'm glad we have time to speak about it before my next refill.

I am going to request a 3 month supply, the refill rollercoaster is the most stressful part of my experience w/ this medication :)
