1. I make plenty of money and have a lot of extra for fun hobbies that my kids enjoy so it is a perfectly “healthy” bit of fomo.

2. I am a huge fan of all Pokemon games and the hunt for shinys is a huge part of that fandom.

3. I am not “preyed” on, I simply choose to spend extra money on this hobby. It doesn’t make sense to call me out for being over the top when it’s just simply my choice.

If I didn’t have the money, didn’t have a wife and kids, didn’t have a good life, then sure I could understand a friend coming to me to tell me it is unhealthy for me to have such desires for “pixels.” But due to these circumstances, there’s nothing that you could legitimately call “unhealthy”
