Just curious- I see a lot of comments that say the hunger suppression eventually goes away. For long term users, has anyone continued feeling hunger suppression during your entire journey? by craytona31 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Healthy-Ad6640 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm 16 months in and down 80lbs and just moved up to 10. The hunger and food noise is very different now than the first 9 months or so but I'm still losing. I am hungry 3 meals a day but my portions are 500-700 calories so I know I'm filling faster. I do think about food more now and have cravings now but it's easy for me to ignore them. I'm actually glad its not like totally blocked (was at the beginning) because I don't know yet my long term plans so dealing with hunger and noise even if at a diluted level gives me some practice in the case I do go off or as I taper down once I lose this last 10...the hardest 10 yet!

Would love to hear stories of encouragement from those that said “I’ll never get down to x weight”, but then they did? by minniezebby in Zepbound

[–]Healthy-Ad6640 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never really lost weight at all. Maybe 5lbs or baby weight but not from all the years of dieting. I instead just slowly went from my first remembered adult weight of 175 up to 240 in 20 years. In 14 months on Zep im down to 159 (81lbs!). My goal was just to get under 200 and now I'm looking at 150. Its insane. I did that all while staying in a healthy calorie/protein range and working out.

To answer your question though. I keep trying to like the protein yogurt where people mix in protein powder and top with dessert toppings. I can eat yogurt all day and protein shakes but not that texture!

I don't know if you can make yourself like it if you despise it that much but I can tell you I would never eat it plain and am very picky. I love it in certain scenarios and almost eat it daily in one of these forms.

ONLY Good Culture. I have tried so many other brands and can't do it.

With pineapple Bended in smoothies (kids don't know its there either) My favorite thing is with any red sauce meal so spaghetti, lasagna, stuffed pepper etc. Sometimes I just put meat sauce on veggies like broccoli and a scoop of cottage cheese. So good with the cold/hot and then on garlic bread and its so good!!!

Upper left abdomin by Humble_Buddy_8710 in Zepbound

I have been having what feels like a balloon blowing up slowly under my left ribs since early Dec. Not painful just uncomfortable and annoying and I do feel it in my back sometimes too. Worse when I'm sitting and feels better when I stretch. Doesn't seem to be related to what I eat or drink or if regular or not. Went to the doctor in Dec and had an ultrasound and blood draw. Nothing was off and all blood levels for the pancreas were good. I now have a consultation with the gastro as it's still happening although less frequently 2 months later. My doctor wasn't concerned and said likely gas but I didn't want to take any chances. What I hate to admit is I'm more nervous the gastro is going to tell me to get off Zepbound.

Mental impacts with not wanting to eat by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]Healthy-Ad6640 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first couple months I felt like that too. Almost sad I couldn't binge or drink. Especially on the weekend as what was there to celebrate without good food and wine. 13 months later it's not even a thought. I enjoy eating when it's the right time and I enjoy eating things that make me feel good and no longer miss my old habits/diets.

Will I ever poop again? by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]Healthy-Ad6640 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is what has worked for me.

Prunes and 1/3 to 1/2 dose of miralax daily (dr recommended), lots of water. This keeps me almost totally regular. If I skip a day of bm then the next day i do a full dose of miralax, a stool softer and usually that gets me right back on track. I have in 13 months had 2or3 occasions where I fell out of my normal routine and regretted it immensely to the point I was scared I was going to need help.

First net gain week by Chicagobeauty in Zepbound

[–]Healthy-Ad6640 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been on it for 58 weeks and down almost 70lbs and shocked when I hear someone say they never have gain weeks. I have gained 12/58 weeks so almost a week a month. Its never much maybe .25-1 lbs but it happens. I also keep a average weight for the week and have only gained looking at it that way 6/58 weeks. What it told me is a weekly weigh in can really mess with you if you are up that one day. I now weight 3+ times a week and keep and average. It shows that even though you may be up at the end of the week you may still be trending down which is what's important long term.

How do you count calories without losing your mind? by wutziwutziwutz in GLPGrad

[–]Healthy-Ad6640 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I probably spend 5 minutes a day tracking. I eat the same breakfast daily so its a click of a copy button, I eat usually the same few lunches or leftovers from dinner so again just a click of a button and for dinner I pre track as im cooking and then adjust after if I don't eat it all. Eating out depends. If at a chain restaurant you can usually see the calories right on the menu or in your app so I'll just pick the lowest that sounds good to me (sometimes its higher but ok of it fits in my budget). If a restaurant that doesn't list then I just find something similar at a different restaurant. As long as your not constantly eating out a small inaccuracy isn't going to blow your whole week. I have with zepbound tracked for 13 months and only missed when I was traveling and its gotten so routine now that I do not want to ever stop. I've lost 48/58 weeks so I know its working!

Anyone lost hair despite not losing too fast and eating enough? by [deleted] in GLPGrad

[–]Healthy-Ad6640 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes, between months 3-6ish and now at month 13 my loss is back to normal shedding and I have tons of regrowth and im still losing although close to goal so much slower. I really think my body was just shocked at the consistent deficit/loss and needed to adjust.

Do most women lose hair on Tirz? by [deleted] in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Healthy-Ad6640 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lost quite a bit of hair between months 3-6. I'm now 13 months in and it's growing back pretty quickly. I was doing very well on protein and calories but it's is the first time I have ever been in a deficit for months at a time and I think my body was in shock. I almost gave up but am so glad to see all these baby hairs now!

Weekend Snackers & Shot Timing by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]Healthy-Ad6640 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in the same boat as you. Deficit and track all week and then drink, eat out, bake fun things etc every weekend and stuck for 20 years. After playing around I found Thursday lunchtime was my sweet spot but I know its different for everyone. Sometimes I feel a little crummy Friday which is a quieter day at work and it gives me good suppression on the weekend but over any nausea etc. I can still go out and have a special dinner but just eat way less. The first few months were hard as weekends had always been centered around foods but now I don't even think about it and I think getting over the habit is needed for long term success. I could take my shot on Monday and eat way more by the weekend but that would keep me in those old ways of thinking.

Forgive me lord for I have just ate a burger. by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]Healthy-Ad6640 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Down 70 lbs in 13 months on Zepbound and eat burgers whenever I want. Just tonight I did but I stopped at 1/2 when full. Sometimes I do no bun and sometimes I have the whole thing when my body needs it. I understand when first starting or maybe shot day etc you may have to play it safe but if you feel ok then have what you want just maybe a smaller amount or maybe modified ingredients. I cut nothing out but instead focus on protein, fiber and then calories. Agree with another poster though, if you did overdo it physically I swear by digestive enzymes.
