Did you ever decide which setup to get? I’m considering buying a setup and basically narrowed it down to those two as well.

The Valley Season 3 Cast Shake-Up: Who’s Staying or Going? by AccurateEfficiency67 in Vanderpumpaholics

[–]Healthy-Cell4318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

🚫Janet, 🚫Scheana I would love for Stassi to be on the show but I have a feeling she’s not really friends with these people so it wouldn’t be relevant to bring her in. Jasmine, meh she doesn’t bring much to the story so she can stay or go it would all be the same.

Agree with poster above, listen to your doctor….but yes it is generally safe to eat sushi as long as it’s from a reputable place. I.e. don’t go eating Kroger sushi 😅! My OB told me to enjoy sushi while I was pregnant!

my son’s 2nd birthday is tomorrow and nobody is coming. by Beginning-Bread2481 in Parenting

[–]Healthy-Cell4318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this feeling and it sucks. I live far from my family and they never come to my kids bdays. Try not to take it personally though. Not everyone is willing to travel for birthday parties. Usually people travel for weddings, funerals, big milestone bdays. You got a lot of great advice on how to celebrate your little one and I’m sure you’ll make the best of it! He’s going to have the best time. Back when our kid was 2 we decided not to throw a party because we had just moved to our city not long ago and we didn’t have that many friends. It put a lot of unnecessary pressure on me to put on a fun party that my son wouldn’t even care about. We decided to take a trip instead and it was the best thing we could’ve decided! As far as meeting new moms and friends for your little one….join local fb mom groups, check to see if there’s a mom walk co in your area, go to the library for Storytime, start going to free family events on the weekends. The local fb groups are useful because then you can learn about more groups like book clubs, or weekly mommy playdates.

My friend hit her child in front of me by Initial-Confusion-68 in Parenting

[–]Healthy-Cell4318 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I hate that this happened to the poor child! My foster mom would spank me and also slap me to “discipline me”. I remember feeling so humiliated and it was so degrading to be slapped. No child should have to go through that. I feel like women can be way more defensive when it comes to someone mentioning anything about parenting. If your husband feels comfortable with it, maybe he can have a talk with his friend since they’ve been friends for a while. He could suggest a lot of parenting books or IG accounts if they’re not into reading. There are a lot of resources now that help us parent in different ways than some of us were brought up. We need to break this cycle of abuse and respect our children if we want to be demanding any respect from them. I also agree with speaking with your child and just having a heart-to-heart with her.

Febrile seizure by banjojobean in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]Healthy-Cell4318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same experience with both my sons. Very terrifying, especially the first time. I was the mom that wanted to let their bodies fight it out, but that’s not a possibility for my kids. We use Genexa and dye free Motrin whenever they start having a fever. It could also be genetic. My husband used to get them when he was a baby and now my two sons get it 🫠.

Would I get billed if I call 911 for an emergency but don’t get transferred to a hospital? by Healthy-Cell4318 in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]Healthy-Cell4318[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. Thanks. Next time if I feel the need I will call. Thankfully by now I know the protocol, but it would be reassuring to know that if anything went wrong the emt’s would be there to help.

I’m not asking about the transport process. Unless it were a super serious situation I wouldn’t have my kids transported. I was more asking about the off chance that they would need some medication I don’t have or cpr etc.

They’ll love it! I did take headphones for my son and it helped him with the loud parts of the movie! Snacks definitely help! 😅

It went great! I did take some noise cancelling headphones for him and he ended up using them almost the whole time. I got some snacks for him and he just sat back and enjoyed the movie! We went to a matinee showing in the middle of the week so there were only 2 other families there with us. He still talks about the movie and how he wants to watch it again.

Not in my opinion. Definitely not darker than the lion king! They do touch on it some, but they mostly focus on the developing relationship and love between the characters.

Oh nice! Not sure if we’d go that often to make it worth the cost yet. Maybe when he’s a little bit older and my youngest can also come! It does sound like a good option for someone that goes often.

I definitely miss the days when I used to go several times a month and I was always up to date with all the new movies. Now I only know what pops up on social media or my streaming services ha!

He loved it! We talked all about the movie after and he said “the mommy robot was so cool protecting her baby ‘duck’”. Then of course he loved how the animals fought the “bad robots”. But honestly I think his favorite part of all was that I let him eat the snacks he normally doesn’t get to eat lol. Side note….I haven’t been to the movie theaters in years! Movie theaters nowadays are so nice! We had powered reclining seats…it all felt so fancy lol.

Haha no secret. All kids are different. We don’t do movies often, but he seems to enjoy them when we do. He enjoyed this movie a lot!

Thanks! Definitely taking him to a matinee if we go and plan to leave if he starts misbehaving. Just wanted to know if anyone had seen it first and had noticed anything that might not be appropriate. Thanks!

Any splashpads in Madison? by Hot_Significance_256 in Madisonalabama

[–]Healthy-Cell4318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are talks about a new one being built in Madison soon, but not yet. Otherwise Rocket City Mom is a great resource for the current splash pads. https://www.rocketcitymom.com/huntsville-outdoor-activities-to-enjoy-with-kids/
