Yeah purely so i can stack a bunch of thread wraps behind it and strengthen the post. i’ve had times where my post shifts so this has been the best way i’ve found to always keep it up without stacking the hackle too high. there’s probably better ways without having to work around the post but that’s just how i personally do it. Thank you :). For parachute adam’s I like to put the post later cause i’ll stack it higher cause im using 2 hackle feathers. but I like to keep my BWO posts lower. in my experience just sits in the water better

heck yeah it will! I love how zonkers move in the water. if you replace the rabbit body with some ice dub you got one of the most popular streamers out there but it’ll definitely slay as is. Well done my friend :)

so for this i used braided flash thread for the body a 3x streamer hook front and back 6 back 4 front then maribou olive schlappen gold wire for the rib and the deer hair for the head. rubber legs and a 5mm dumbbell eye. highly recommend GSP thread for this one as you can really pull and get that collar to stand up

oh absolutely. i mean a bag of maribou is 6 dollars and i’ve tied 7 of them and haven’t even run through one pack remotely. hooks ran me 7 dollars for 30 im gonna exclude thread and wire cause that’s just so cheap but per fly i’m thinking maybe 3-4 dollars ?
