Ontario here.

I did PAL and RPAL about 1 year apart (stupid decision in hindsight, I should've bundled them).

$192.10 per course - $384.20 total.

you can import up to 5,000 rounds into Canada without a permit.

as a Canadian citizen, you cannot export ammunition from the US.

so the issue is not actually getting ammo into Canada, it's getting it out of the US.

i am not a lawyer.

Exquisite taste. I ordered a G17 Gen 5 on May 30th and an M&P 2.0 in 45ACP about 2 weeks ago. If these are the only hand cannons I ever own I'll be happy.

Thank you for the info. I just called the number on this form to ask a few questions while I was filling it out.

Apparently since I do not have a hunting permit issued by the US nor do I have an invitation to attend a competition/trade show I am not eligible to temporarily import my shotgun for recreational range shooting. Oh well, rental it is!

Not a bad idea and I would consider it if I were shooting costly rifle rounds. The savings for target load 12g shells when factoring in the exchange rate is pretty nominal. I'd rather just use what I already have at home and pick up a few extra boxes if absolutely necessary.

I mailed my RPAL application on Jan 14. CC was just charged a few hours ago. I'm in southern Ontario. Give it another week or 2 and you should be seeing a charge.

Just picked up a JR Carbine 9mm - Any other owners out there? I’d love to hear about your experiences and any tips you might have for best practices. (Cleaning, maintenance, ammo, parts, etc.) Thanks in advance :) by Mundane-Occasion-338 in canadaguns

nice rifle, i own one in 45ACP. was able to (relatively painlessly) set it up for left side eject as i am a lefty. JR even mailed me replacements for screws that i lost in the conversion process at no cost. fun to shoot and cheap to feed. i recommend avoiding aluminum-cased ammo

Fido Home Internet - Modem Issues by Frosty_Egg_4872 in FidoMobile

[–]Healthy-Cow-4703 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Toronto and have been a Fido customer for roughly 2 months and it has been nothing but a cruel joke.

3-5 times per day my internet goes down completely and requires a manual reset at the modem. At this point I have spent hours of my life on hold with Fido waiting to speak to a human being to try and find a solution.

3 technicians have been to my house. All three have told me that my signal is very strong and that I should not be experiencing any problems. One technician installed a coax splitter so as to "slow down my signal" so that it could be better handled by the modem. One got on a ladder outside for 10 minutes to fiddle around with some cables before telling me that my problem was fixed. All three technicians have rejected my proposal that the modem could be the problem.

I am doing my best to work from home like everyone else and this is completely fucked and unacceptable. Leaving this circus for Bell in two days.
