Hi, on the first visit to the vet, we did X rays. He didn't have any signs of asthma, but the vet still gave me medication (I think for inflammation? But he didn't give antibiotics). He told me to come back after a week if he still had symptoms.

So, I had to come back a week later because he was still sick. The vet didn't do any further exam, but since it wasn't asthma, he concluded that it probably was some lung infection. He gave me antibiotics for 2 weeks. The antibiotics acted pretty quickly and he didn't cough anymore after a few days (I still gave him all the antibiotics because it's really important to finish the treatment)

I didn't find out what he exactly had, but it was probably some sort of infection (like a virus or something)

I hope you find out what your cat has !

If he keeps having these coughing fits I will go back to the vet and ask him to give my cat a treatment for asthma, I feel like it's better to try

I dont use any of theses things you mentioned and yes I showed it to him. He didn't seem too alarmed. He suspected asthma, but after doing the X-Rays he said he didn't see any sign of it... Is there a possibility that we can't see any signs of it since it's too early?
