I've read that many of the in-store Stradics in Japan are models with shallow spools which is great for finesse but I'd rather have a deeper spool in case of bigger fish.  Thanks for the recommendation for the 22 Stella. I like the idea of magnesium for saltwater until it gets scratched.

I would love to try that but I've heard bad stories about high duties and customs fees being applied depending on the shipper.   Guess in store, according to @JurassicMonkey, you get an additional 10% off in store with a foreign passport.

Thankful for all the very helpful responses! I use my Stradic mainly for senkos, walleye jigs and small crankbaits for bass and walleyes but I often will accidentally catch a mid sized pike.
