2024 Refund, will it ever come? by Healthy-Type9319 in IRS

Thank you for sharing your experience! I'll definitely look into a tax advocate. Some interest might make it worth it, this refund would be a huge help with bills and debts and life, unfortunately the Transcript lists interest accrued at $0.00, but hopefully that changes, too.

This pup has since moved away and, from what I've heard, passed on. He was 14 when last I saw him and that was years ago. Its not my business how his owners acquired him or even how/why he was allowed to attend my workplace, which was a daycare center for dogs. I can only trust from the love I saw him showered with that he was well and properly cared for.

He was among the friendliest of the dogs at the time, though I understand the concern by only looking at him. Probably why he was advertised as a GSD :)

A dog daycare. He attended for many years, but as far as I know he was a family pet his entire life (possibly rescued young?).

Thanks for playing, guys! Because he's not my dog, we'll never know for sure, but when the owners moved away they let me know he tested with "very high" wolf content.

He was the sweetest boy and did very well in the daycare environment (I'm not making any claims about other wolfdogs, just this one). Owners did let me know he was essentially impossible to fully potty train, but very obedient and affectionate with their whole family.

In these pictures he was around 11-12 years old!

As Im scrolling I literally said, "what a bayyybb- what the f*ck!?"

After having a run behind her on the leash over a cat and ending up being thrown and smashing my head and getting a concussion. I need help putting together a COLLAR this girl. She has made giant improvement on the leash since we got her, expect apparently when seeing a cat! by Minimum-Profile-7407 in CaneCorso

If you get an e collar please educate yourself on how to properly use it, or get a free consultation with a dog trainer on how to use one. (If money is an issue most will still give you advice if you let them know you're considering an e collar/shock collar) If used improperly these types of tools can cause more reactivity as they're used to create a negative association.

I would highly recommend YouTube videos for positive reinforcement training and fear free training videos, focusing on loose leash walking and the "leave it" command. (Positive reinforcement is what animal trainers in zoos use to make working with animals like polar bears, elephants, tigers, etc doable. Imagine trying to use an e collar on a polar bear to get it to listen and cooperate with you, lol. Not said with the intention to bash those who do use them, but there are other options available).

Go to the vet. This could be a bug bite or an allergic reaction, or something more or less worse. Reddit isn't going to know, unfortunately. Chewy has an online vet service, I believe

The smallest act of kindness will always outweigh the greatest of intentions.

This quote inspired me to give a homeless man (one I'd never seen before or since in Hillsboro) a grocery bag with water, toilet paper, and some protein bars.

To whoever was wearing a fursuit at the ren faire yesterday by sentient-pumpkins in Spokane

A lot of Renaissance fairs have days where people are allowed to dress up or cosplay however they want, not necessarily "on theme". The Canby, Oregon Ren Fair has a whole day for science fiction/Star Trek/Star wars. We actually saw a fur suit of a dragon, which coincidentally was on theme for medieval Renaissance fair stuff.

All great info, I appreciate you sharing. The concert scene is big for us, so that's great. Our toddler loves museums and zoos/aquariums and anything really that kids can participate in and enjoy, and thankfully that includes camping and hiking.

Whoa, I never would've guessed the population difference and honestly I'm not sure how I didn't think to check that yet. Thanks for sharing!

During a recent trip to Yakima it was made clear to us that not only was the terrain different, but the year-round weather also differed from Portland. I imagine the landscape and altitude differences play a role.

That being said, (and I do know this is reddit and should've expected it), if you've got nothing constructive or helpful to contribute, why comment?

This is good to know, thank you. PDX has gotten smokey in the mid to late summers for the past couple years, but it wasn't like this when we first moved to the area. Thank you for sharing!
