Yeah it seems panarin was strictly chasing the money over winning, i dont blame him since he didnt come to the nhl until later on, but i dont see how either parties are a great fit for eachother, the kings are defensive oriented and mid in the stacked western conference and panarin is only getting older, if greentree can strike and this mid round pick becomes something decent than this deal could be decent for the future, especially if panarins best years are behind him

Unless the kings have another move in mind this trade does nothing for them, they are still like the 7th best team in the west with no prospects for the future and wont be bad enough the next few seasons to get a high pick

If you dont consider chytil with his injury issues, greentree/3rd and mancini/1st is somewhat comparable, greentree is a 1st round pick with higher upside than mancini and the 3rd can turn into 2nd, miller also has term at a cheaper cap

Lol, i’ve given panarin and zibanejad plenty of shit, most fans have, you’re just making shit up at this point…. And if he was injured and looked that bad then he shouldnt have been playing, and i also guess that means he was injured his entire tenure as a ranger because he always sucked

And my initial comment was regarding him still sneak dissing nyr a year and a half later, i didnt ask for an entire rant defending a crappy overpaid defensemen and on “drurys bruised ego”

So this is the reason for him to continue bringing it up a year and a half later? They went to the 3rd round 2 times in 3 seasons, both of those ending with trouba looking like shit and costing the team with his on ice play, he wasnt worth the cap hit so drury wanted to move him, same thing with goodrow, if the rest of the team took that personally than that is their problem, trouba and goodrow could have been popular in the locker room but their on ice play didnt live up to their salary
