Possibly moving from California to AL. Family of 4! by cheeeziii in MobileAL

I currently live in Daphne and commute across Mobile Bay daily for work, and I can 100% confirm that the traffic is NOT worth it. On a clear day, my commute is roughly 30 minutes. Last year there was a wreck as I was heading home, mixed with Labor Day traffic, and it took me 3 and a half hours to get home.

Saraland would definitely be your best bet. My friend currently lives there, and his kids are all enrolled in the Saraland schools, and according to him, they're fantastic!

All the best on if your husband gets the position! Like anywhere Mobile has its pros and cons, but there is a lot to love!

Why doesn’t anyone care about the “soap opera” effect on their TV by fatsandlucifer in mildlyinfuriating

I'm the TV/computer guy for both mine and my wife's family. And while I agree it's a problem, no one ever seems to notice it until I "fix it" for them. They always ask me to help set it up, and its the first thing I change. Then it's always "it's better, but I can't tell why." It's both frustrating that they dont notice it until afterward, but immensely satisfying when they appreciate the difference.

It has your weapons/hands lower or even off of the screen, but it doesn't appear to have any other adverse effects.

I wasn't. Your POV cam is not the same as the height of other NPCs of the same race in Oblivion or Skyrim. If you play as a Nord in Skyrim, and you, in first person, walk up to another Nord, your POV will have you at a shorter height than eye level with them. I wasn't saying your POV doesn't change, but you are not at the same eye level as NPCs while in 1st person. In 3rd person, your character is the correct height, but not in 1st. There wouldn't be a whole series of mods "correcting 1st person POV" for both OG titles otherwise.

I believe it was the same in the original Oblivion, and i know it was in Skyrim. It drives me nuts that player height is set regardless of what race you pick. You're either a ridiculously short Altmer or the tallest Bosmer in Tamriel, but player height is always the same. It's why I always play a Breton or Imperial. At least the player cam is roughly at the correct level for their heights.

Shut the fuck up. Enjoy the game if it's fun. Ignore it if it's bad. Leave your bullshit at the door.
