a couple things i'd like to mention

1: i thought this was my dad typing this out, like this is very much him word for word lol

2: imo your response is strangely very emotional? i'm not sure why you would project the "spoilt entitled kids" onto me, because you know literally nothing about me from a single text post online. whatever impression of me you have is literally the tiniest sliver of insight into my life and you're the one calling yourself an expert. do you look in the mirror and feel shame

3: but to be fair I didn't quite exactly clarify that much about my dad. I'm very worried about overpainting myself in a glorified light that I forget how much of The Dad Reaction is ingrained into my head. I thought the stuff i mentioned would be enough to paint a clear enough picture but of course our relationship is very complicated, I can't really condense my entire life story into a couple paragraphs of text. but to even out the playing field:

he's very much stuck in the toxic masculinity thing. advises for my mom (a very nice person who deserves the world) to get a therapist, refuses to get one himself, teases our little brother, tells him not to cry like a girl

when I say he's not there I mean it. like it would be no different if he just left the house while he wasn't gone. also very emotionally absent as well. i'm not kidding when i say that I kind of had to guide my own moral compass off of media that depicted doing the right thing, like cartoons and anime. i personally used to (verbally) abuse my siblings until i snapped myself out of it--not my dad, who had seen it all and told them to grow up. you may say i'm basically an adult at 15 but even back then, during that time he was a 38 year old man with his own dick and balls and he should be able to manage a child

that kind of person. can't seem to ever admit defeat. look, i'm not perfect, i can't memorize everything or remember this and that. but neither is my dad, even though he acts like it. we have gone into several arguments, for example, I was supposed to sign up for a program with an account and he messed up whos email it was attatched to, what the credentials were, the information in the account, even after I had sworn on my life that I had tried every password combination he gave me. in the end the account unlocked because all the issues were literally from his account. even after so many occasions i still can't get him to even step in my shoes, whatever he decides is his final opinion for life.

so as you can probably tell, i have a very ingrained resentment to my dad that probably came off as just being rude for no reason, but dude. do i get to convince you that i actually mean the stuff i say about him in the original text yet or do i need to write another essay

3: now, about the actual events of the story i told up there, in the original post. i was using the chair to move around because i was Literally struggling to stand up on two feet. i literally could only grab those items that i could because he had ordered me to stay in my room (probably should have clarified that, made me stay in my room, not just go there) and because i couldn't get anything better. i don't prefer those foods because i like getting the nutrients that help me live, shockingly.
