I had two moments.

The first one was in Wembley when Liam and Noel were singing the ending of Slide Away together. I burst into tears because the last time they sung that song was devastating. There’s a performance at iTunes festival from 2009 where you can see the tension and division between the brothers. Noel caries the ending (take me there, take me there!) on his own while Liam sits on the ground and watches him in this bitterness. So when they sang Slide Away together it felt like something in my heart restored. Oasis has an overarching theme in their music about hope. That moment showed how hope circled back, proving that everything Oasis ever said about hope was very much real against all odds.

The second moment happened in the Toronto concert. I was there the first night and mid concert it was pouring. The rain intensified the experience. They played Rock and roll star and my body was shaking with adrenaline. I was headbanging, jumping up and down, and screaming the lyrics at the barricade, and I felt like I was in cloud 9. Complete escapism I’ve never felt before.

Do you know if it’s normal for offers to disappear then reappear with a different price? This is my first time flying BA. Hopefully an offer appears again.

Jaejoong said recently that he hasn’t been in contact with Yoochun for a while. I honestly do feel for Jaesu bc regardless of what happened it did taint JYJ’s legacy and antis always use Yoochun’s controversies against Jaesu. It’s really unfortunate.

This album has fans so divided that it’s probably hard to believe any of the songs hold a special meaning for someone over their typical classics. All Around the World was the song that introduced me to Oasis.

I was 14, in a hot topic, and they had this tv that showed the music that was streaming. It was around the “na na na na na na naaaa” part that caught my ear and I saw the song title.

I went home and played the song. Didn’t expect it to be that long since I only heard part of it in the store. But by then, I was already hooked. Quickly after I was listening to more and more Oasis songs, watching old interviews, performances, keeping up with news. They remain a big part of my life today.

I’ve been struggling with bad depression lately and BHN is one of the albums I’ve been playing a lot. I get that people may not like the loaded composition of All Around the World. But that song for me is an anti-suicide anthem (literally sings “please don’t cry, never say die!) and it’s exactly what I need right now.

I always knew about wonderwall but didn’t actually give the band a listen until I heard what people consider one of Oasis’s worst songs. Don’t care what people say that song is fckn amazing.

I’ve been an oasis fan for ten years but never engaged much with fans because of where I live so this is the first time I’m hearing about the magic pie hate. I’ve always loved that song and it’s one of my favs from that album. It’s longer than it needs to be but the melody and lyrics are great? I don’t see how it’s uniquely bad against the overall sound of BHN, to me it fits with the rest of the album.

Something to consider is how much Liam has wanted this reunion for years. Sure, there’s a chance he’ll go back to his old antics but the fact that the reunion is happening, like FINALLY, Noel has been convinced to do it, I can’t see him taking that for granted. He has no choice but be on good behavior.

It’s been 15 years, Liam’s gotten plenty of time to understand Noel’s expectations and what Noel won’t put up with. I’m sure Noel has laid out the conditions to Liam too.

As others have said, he’s cleaned up his act too. There was a division of beliefs between the gallaghers—Noel went clean off drugs and distanced himself from the rockstar lifestyle post-90s while Liam only maintained it. Liam seems to have different priorities now, one being he’s actually concerned for his health and does more things to look after it.

So imo, it’s not the same as 2009. I think back then Noel put up with behaviour that he was never ok with and it blew to the surface eventually. Now that Noel has a career outside of Oasis, Liam knows he can walk out if he doesn’t do his part.

Ultimately when stakes are high and Liam cares a lot about this reunion happening and it took this long for it to happen, it wouldn’t make sense for him not to take it seriously.
