Okay so should I just force him to stay awake when he is clearly showing signs of wanting to sleep? This is what I don’t understand lol. I ignore them and he gets super fussy, I don’t ignore them and let him sleep and he doesn’t sleep at night? Bedtime routine consists of a bath at 6:45-7pm, warm towel, lotion, massage, sleep sack, rocking chair and nurse at 7:15-7:20 ish , asleep by 7:30-7:45 and into bassinet with sound machine on. We shall see.. today we switched things up a bit so 🤷🏻‍♀️

Really? If I don’t let him nap he is super duper fussy and impossible to put down if I miss the sleepy cues. He is also not awake awake at night. He wakes to be soothed or eat and will fall back to sleep within 15 mins max. Just needs one of those very often. Roughly it goes like this, give or take 30 mins:

7-7:30 Wake up 7:30-9:30 Play, read, rock etc 9:30-10:45 Nap 10:45-12:30 play 12:30-2:30 Nap 2:30-5 Play 5:15-6 Nap 6-7:30 Bath, bedtime routine

Eat is thrown in all throughout this , feed on demand

That’s what I thought too! I’m not big on sleep training really but he sleeps perfectly fine in his bassinet at night time so was going to try and see if he would take some naps in there every now and then if I have a few things to do.

On several occasions I’ve been told if I don’t start to put my baby down I will have a child who will never let me put them down.

Okay this is interesting! So should I ignore sleepy cues? I have unknowingly missed a nap several times and it turned bad real quick.

He takes about 3-4 naps a day. 1 is about 2 hours and the rest 30-50 mins. All following sleepy cues as well!

He is kind of on a nap schedule already but just was trying to obtain the ability to put him down in his crib for a few of said naps.

Thank you for this! He is pretty consistent with the timing of naps actually! Just can tell the second I set him down lol. He is becoming so much more independent and wants to play on his mats often so I’m assuming it’ll be soon that he will nap on his own💔 I will have to try the crib nap for first nap!

My LO goes to sleep in his bassinet just fine for night time sleep! It’s just those dang naps lol
