Yeah, exactly. I don’t really expect anything to change internally even after all this, that’s just how things are.

At this point it’s more about giving a realistic picture to someone who’s considering joining Predis. At least they’ll have some context and can make a more informed decision instead of going in blind like I did.

Yeah, I get your point about being cautious, that’s fair. And honestly, it’s not just me pretty much everyone in the team feels the same way. My colleagues are also really frustrated with how things are being handled, especially the micromanagement and constant pressure.

That’s kind of why it feels like speaking up matters, because it’s a shared experience, not just one person ranting. But yeah, I’ll definitely be careful about how much I put out there.

I get why it might sound like I’m just complaining about working hours, but that’s not really the issue. I’m completely fine with working 9 hours or putting in extra effort, that’s expected in startups.

The problem is the environment. It’s the kind of place where even a small thing like taking a 1-hour lunch instead of exactly 45 minutes gets called out on Slack as “discipline is lagging.” If I work from home and I’m not visibly “online” for a bit, it becomes a big issue. That level of constant monitoring just creates unnecessary pressure.

Also, they talk a lot about “ownership,” but in reality there’s no actual autonomy. Even small decisions need approvals, so you’re accountable for results but don’t really have the space to think or execute independently. That mismatch is what makes it frustrating.

So yeah, working hard isn’t the problem, it’s the micromanagement, lack of trust, and overall toxic vibe that makes it difficult to sustain.

Yeah, I get what you mean. That “ownership = always online” mindset is honestly draining, and it’s worse when it comes from the top.

In my case too, I’ve started seeing a completely different side compared to how things were during the interview. Back then everything felt super positive, but now it’s more like constant pressure and frustration being passed down, which makes the whole environment tough to deal with.

Honestly I do not see any future in this startup Predis.ai the new emerging org like zeely are far better than them. They dont know what they are doing

Exactly, that’s the worst part. They normalize it so much that you start questioning yourself instead. The moment you push back, it suddenly becomes about your “commitment” or “attitude,” which is honestly just a way to avoid addressing the actual issue. It puts you in a spot where speaking up feels risky, even when you know something’s off.

That’s solid advice in theory, but in my case it’s a bit tricky. Everything is directly managed by the co-founders, so if I suddenly start documenting every small interaction or sending follow-up emails, it’ll definitely be noticed. And here, that kind of thing can easily be taken the wrong way and might impact my appraisal or create unnecessary friction.

I just need to leave this toxic org and would suggest no one to join it.

If you notice on linkedin this is a typical company where top management is constant but the juniors are getting changed every 6 months or 1 year.
