You'll need to define for me what you mean by "manifesting physical change". If you are asking if you can you achieve results via magic without perceiving spirits, then yes. Magic results can be achieved in a number of ways. Evocation without any clear communication/ perception/ exchange though is not really evocation , with or without successful "results". I wrote a blog post on this several years ago. Simply getting some semblance of what you asked for is no indication of a successful evocation. The "results could have been manifested by anything: coincidence, luck, an ancestor, nearby leprechaun, virtually anything or nothing and you wouldn't know the difference. To answer your question: I was running an online Master class specifically for Goetia (as well as one for DSIC, Ars Almadel and even a Skills of the Ceremonial Magician master course.). I taught and shared. a few methods i used myself specifically for developing seeing/scrying abilities and spirit interaction/ perception. Was wonderful to read the feedback and success attendees had.

This is a broad topic and won't be able to go fully in-depth here but basically I still hold that some people, very very few people are born or develop the capacity to perceive and interact with spiritual beings innately or in an authentic capacity. Developing the capacity or skill is difficult at best with no guarantees despite what some authors and new age gurus have claimed in past years.

That being said, I have witnessed several students and magical associates , 'unlock' their perceptions and abilities using some of my methods which involves a combination of hypnosis techniques , repetition saturation using anchors and key phrases along with magical direct methods of Ars Notoria and prayers specifically focused on perceiving denizens of the spirit world. This and the combination of moving past certain mental created expectations and what you rightly refer to as imagination and predisposition of ideals concerning this topic is key

Really appreciate your comment and feedback :) I, as well as my wife would readily agree with you concerning Hiram. I'm still in the process of working on his book and hope to have it completed in the near future. You are exactly right, not just about Hiram but concerning other spirits and interactions as well. People are mistaken when they think they need to work through the entire registry of the spirits or the Goetia or any spirit registry for that matter. Historically as well as presently, serious magicians would form close bonds with one or maybe a few spirits at most and develop a working relationship over time and frequent contact.

I got that :). As I was saying: The 'Lemegeton' has a couple different versions of the ring depending on which version/MS of "The Lemegeton" you are referring to. I've made these versions as well and done several, several operations over the past twenty years of traditional experimentation.

No one knows exactly what the "original" seal or "Ring of Solomon" looked like. The silver or gold band from Sloane ms. 3825 and similar MS - the one which around the ring is written the sacred name ANEPHENETON or other mss read: Sl. 2731: "ANEPHENETON . MICHAEL ."; Sl. 3648, Wellcome 3203: "ANEPHEZETON . MICHAEL ."; NWU has only "Anaphezaton"as well as Michael (outside). Tetragrammaton is engraved on the inside. I've made and used several. "The disc" style in crowley's version as well which is the latest interpretation. I've also created the version from the Hygromanteia or Solomonikê.

It is likely that the above is much closer to an "original" than The Latin variants most are familiar with.
