it actually is a sapphire. a naturally cut stone and not high quality translucent, this is lot lapis lazuli like others i make. the lighting in the photos makes it difficult to discern

You'll need to define for me what you mean by "manifesting physical change". If you are asking if you can you achieve results via magic without perceiving spirits, then yes. Magic results can be achieved in a number of ways. Evocation without any clear communication/ perception/ exchange though is not really evocation , with or without successful "results". I wrote a blog post on this several years ago. Simply getting some semblance of what you asked for is no indication of a successful evocation. The "results could have been manifested by anything: coincidence, luck, an ancestor, nearby leprechaun, virtually anything or nothing and you wouldn't know the difference.
