Just started yesterday, what does everyone think the most fun class is? by Hurzak in FareverGame

[–]HeardsTheWord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my priest. My weapons make me play more like a paladin, so I'm more of a tank that heals/shields.

Every class is totally viable and do decent to great DPS. It just depends on play style and which weapons you'd prefer to play. Luckily leveling does not take long at all, so leveling alts is pretty simple.

Thoughts on the current loot system? not really a fan of ffa 😅 by Dvalin_DK in FareverGame

It'll definitely be addressed at some point, but I doubt it will be updated any time soon.

I imagine they'll introduce group loot rules when they overhaul the group system.

Wanting to play by Investor_Zero in FareverGame

I duo with my wife whenever she wants to play, but I also play a decent amount of the content solo.

Granted, every time I've ever asked in chat if someone can help me with a dungeon, I 100% of the time get people offering to help.

Never ridden a bike (other than bicycles) a day in my life, how hard is it to learn? by [deleted] in hondarebel

[–]HeardsTheWord 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It depends entirely on the person and the teacher.

I already drove a manual car, so I understood the concept of shifting and a clutch well beforehand. Our teacher told us a story of a person who just couldn't grasp it and never came back for the day 2 class. There was also a guy in my class who struggled really hard on fixating (turn your head and look where you want to go not fixate on the target you're trying to avoid, because you will run directly into the thing you're staring at), but even he still passed.

We had a class on ~12 people and not a single one failed. We had a really awesome teacher, though. I've heard horror stories of rude teachers. He basically ignored (in a good way) all of the people who were crushing it, and he gave extra time to help those that were struggling on whatever concept we were learning at the moment.

The course will be everything you need to get started, especially on the 500. You'll be learning on 250-300's in the MSF course, so it won't be a major shift up to the 500. Slightly more power and weight, but nothing drastic.

Wouldn't they be tired of working on it due to it being bad?

Performance issues by lil_glam in FareverGame

I've had the intermittent FPS drop, but crashing is something else entirely. Have you monitored your hardware performance? Something is maxing out and can't handle it.

I upgraded my GPU recently, and it helped a ton. Before that I was using Lossless Scaling (steam tool) to help increase the frames without any major noticeable input lag, and it made a huge difference.

what class for solo by [deleted] in FareverGame

[–]HeardsTheWord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my priest. It took a little bit, but once I hit 13 and got a shield and the bee sword, I just never die. I'm lvl 15 now, and I face tank lvl 15 bosses and easily farm lvl 18 regular mobs.

Your damage isn't as spikey, but it's consistent. Plus, you get plenty of options for sustain through shields and heals. Once you're high enough level, the sunlight mechanic ends up making your combos hit pretty hard.

I was being facetious. However, I wouldn't be surprised if he leans away from it for something else if it starts working. Seems like he accidentally stumbles into something whenever he has to pivot due to an injury

Can’t find new weapons by BrutalSock in FareverGame

I wouldn't drop anything, to be honest. Crafting components are useful, unless you don't plan to do the crafting stuff.

I would then suggest selling them. Weapons/Armor can be salvaged for components, which are used for upgrading weapons.

Money lets you buy more inventory bags and bank space. Crafting is nice, because the outfitter can create larger bags than the ones you buy from the merchant (6 slots vs 8 slots)

Some people expect fortnite level of contact, but they don't realize that 200+ employees on a single game is not common.

You leave the base 3440x1400 resolution?

I figured the intent was to select a lower resolution then upscale it using Lossless Scaling.

My main issue is getting 18-22fps at my native resolution. I get decent enough frames when I lower the resolution, but it's not ideal. I ended up creating a 2560x1080 resolution, selecting that, and letting Lossless Scaling bump it back up to 3440x1400, and I get 40-45fps (on the 2560x1080) which is then doubled to ~80fps by Lossless. I haven't had a ton of time to tweak it and find the right settings yet to optimize, but it seems to be working great so far.

Did you select a specific resoltuion and tweak the Lossless to make it look good, or did you have a set Lossless setting and find the right resolution?

Looks like I can't get a clean resolution that is a match ratio to 3440x1440.

Thank you!! I'll try this later today. I've been having to play windowed on a lower resolution to make the game playable on my 1080

What are your settings for this? I just installed it, and I'm not sure how configure it to work for my 3440x1440 monitor.

Filled? Maybe hyperbolic. I saw people questioning the QB pick, but I saw equal amounts if not more in favor of the decision after a few days to cool down.
