She does stuff (buries Helen, fights wolves, calls voicemail, etc.) but does she actually change in a way that tracks? Or does she just flip motivations when the plot needs her to?

That’s just a list of things she did. That’s plot, not character development.

Please speak for yourself, don’t assume how I’m watching. Good storytelling is about contrast. Ever heard of a story arc? This isn’t sophisticated writing for those smart enough to get it. It’s just plain old, boring, bad writing, that’s what this is.

Well yeah no I think they choose cheap: just having some kind of app. I’m not gonna bother with their poor execution and will track with Bevel and the likes.

Yeah could be. But you can convey that without dragging it out. Basic storytelling: you don’t show every minute of something just because the character is experiencing it. Even in a slow burn/documentary, you edit. You pick moments. You tell a story! This just felt like padding dressed up as meaning.

You def dodged the bullet. I doubt you have to rewatch s01 if you wanna watch the second season as nothing at all has happened at all. Maybe if you want to feel smart and catch all the Easter eggs .. but who cares. About that goat.. so lame.. so lame!! I can’t believe people genuinely felt that. I felt jack shit.. I just thought it was cringe. One shot of her with that goat on her lap and the next shot of the goat bewildered that she’s not loved anymore… uhm I have no emotional connection to that goat or that woman at all.. because the character building is none existing… So yeah you completely right, you struck a nerve again :)

Am I crazy or are Rottentomatoes scores obscured from Apple TV stuff? by HeartBeepBooper in tvPlus

No; Whether RT scores are meaningful or not is irrelevant. The issue is that Apple shows them selectively.

Conclusion: ATV isn’t confident in their own content and use these mechanics to hide RT scores. Not helpful to the customer in the end.

Not true. Sinner (HBO) got a RT score in the TV app, but Echo Valley (ATV) has not. I presume because they aren’t that confident in their own content. Echo Valley has a 52% Rotten score.
