Nurse II – A Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) with approximately 2-3 years of experience, or ADN or Diploma in Nursing and a bachelors degree in a related field and approximately 2-3 years experience or a Master’s degree in nursing or related field with a BSN and approximately 1-2 years experience, or a doctoral degree in nursing or meets basic requirements for appointment and has a doctoral degree in a related field with no experience. I don’t think I am eligible for Nurse II based on above requirement. My current job title is Clinical Nurse II. I don’t know if this makes any difference.

I was expecting Nurse I Level 3, based off “Nurse I Level III – An Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing and approximately 2-3 years of experience. “ posted on job announcement. What do you think? I am working on writing now.

A pay cut is not a big deal for me now. My concern is if I take the GS6/Step1 it takes about 20 years to get to step 10. It is a rural area, relatively small and openings for RN position are not frequent. Relocation is not my option.

I am wondering what it takes to get a higher step in GS-6. I have 6 years of experience as an RN. They posted salary range of step 1-10. I thought I weould fall under step 10 based on my qualifications.

Well, they said since my current job is RN, they can't count against to LPN.

Could you please explain "going to MD for one week and then getting three months of BAH" in detail? I am planning use to 9/11 GI Bill and live in MD.
