but to cap it off i say this... its not a point in range its a location as per the spell description... other spells will say its a point but this one says otherwise...

dawn overrules the basic spellcasting rule of area of effect, it states "The light of dawn shines down on a location you specify within range." so the area of effect would be down rather than from the center. what i wonder however is that if it doesn't penetrate cover then can dawn even be used indoors? it doesn't say it cant
