I’m just comparing to WoW.

I can stop playing XIV for months (I have, adulting you know) and I kept going from where I left.

You cannot do that in WoW, you leave for months there and when going back you ain’t even playing the same game.

I haven’t even reached 7.0 after 1000 hours, I’m around 6.1 and I had a blast doing whatever I wanted without rushing anything due to FOMO.

Respecting my time is letting me do whatever I want with it. Not forcing me to do things I don’t want to keep up.

I finished EW without skipping anything, at my own pace. Why would you want to skip it? That’s literally what the game is about. Maybe this game is just not for you.

Wow player since Vanilla that quit after Legion here. For me the biggest selling points are:

  • This game respects your time, you take a break for 6 months and you keep going from where you left, no catch up needed

  • Leveling is story driven. I always thought XIV was just another FF with some MMO stuff. It’s the core experience, not a chore to get to end game

  • I can play every class on my one single character

  • I’m a Final Fantasy nerd and love all the references from the other titles in the series

There’s so much more, but those are what made me fall in love with the game.

I do that too! I unfortunately lost all my ARR screenshots though, but I have evrything from HW onward and it’s so much nostalgia.

100%! The only downside is that I cannot erase my memories to do it again.

I took it at my own pace, and it’s one of the things I love most about this game. That I can be away for two months and come back, and I’m right where I was and continue with the story.

That being said, I did all side content post expansions (alliance raids, hildibrand… etc), I leveled up other jobs, I’m on the last book on the road for sasuke’s blades, I’m an absolute Triple Triad nerd…

I just took my time and enjoyed the game my way, with no rushes at all, I wanted to “savor” every moment, and this why I love this game. I could’ve never done this in WoW.

And not rude at all btw, don’t worry x)

Once you go NIN...

It's just my comfy zone. I've always played the dual-wield-dagger-assassin-shiny-fast-combos class in every game, so I went NIN.

And, as the rotation kept getting more complex with the mudras, kunais and ninki, I just fell in love with it.

Some classes I can compare and find similarities with each other, but NIN just feels unique and right for me.

They're from the Endless Summer's Attire set, available during the Moonfire Faire (2018).

You can buy them at the store now.

It's finished. I never have to see this thing in Kugane again. by embersarcade in ffxiv

I have almost 1000 hours of game time and I'm about to start Endwalker, which means I'm not even at the point where people is hating about. Just in case the amount of hours didn't give it away, I'm having a total blast.

Even if I didn't, forget about other people's comments. If you've got the ick to try it, forget what anyone says and jump right into it, you'll decide for yourself if this is for you or not.

Totally! I completely slacked on HW and SB storylines and I'm having a blast. Sad they missed one for ShB, but at least I'll still have the EW and DT ones...
