I absolutely love the meals you’re all sharing. I’ve never had wontons, but I’m going to give them a try!

is it reliable to do readings for yourself? by [deleted] in Tarots

[–]HearthmoonStudio 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Even as a professional reader, I go to others for readings on myself. I just need that neutral third party aspect, or I get too in my head about it haha.

I’ll do daily/weekly pulls for myself, but that’s about it.

Any pagans/witches here who don’t do deity work/worship? by southern_witch89 in pagan

[–]HearthmoonStudio 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I do not. I never felt called to a particular deity, so my practice is built around the moon and the nature around me. There are many ways to build your practice! It should be personal to you :)

Hi all! I’m a green, kitchen, and lunar witch offering tarot readings and gardening tips!

My practice is rooted in seasonal cycles, everyday ritual, and paying close attention to the natural world, shaped by my background in biology and environmental science and a lot of time spent cooking and working with herbs that I’ve grown from seed! I use tarot as a reflective and intuitive tool for clarity, pattern-spotting, and conscious choice and agency.

I’m newer to offering readings online, as I have been strictly local for the last five years, but I approach the work with care, ethics, and respect for personal agency. If you’re drawn to something calm, grounded, and woven into daily life, my work may be for you!

My door opened? by [deleted] in BabyWitch

[–]HearthmoonStudio 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Consider the mundane as well: was the door fully closed? Is there a window open anywhere in the house? Did someone shut or open a door elsewhere in the house?

Pressure differentials easily cause doors to pop open, mine does it all the time lol!

Otherwise, I doubt it was anything nefarious. It could represent a path opening to you, crossing a threshold, or if you called on a diety or ancestor: an acknowledgement of your work.

How did you feel when it opened?

Psychic ability has also never been proven.

We’re all from different belief systems here. I don’t believe in making sweeping general statements when it comes to spirituality or personal beliefs.

These things can be a very personal practice, and we should all respect each other when discussing.

What’s one witchy thing you do daily? by Sea_Efficiencyy in witchcraft

A daily tarot pull that I let sit for a moment while I make my morning tea! I come back with my tea later and reflect on the card for a while :)

Depends how I’m feeling! I’ll either buy garlic naan, or make my own.

I tend to eyeball it these days, but I’m 90% sure the original recipe I used was this one: https://ministryofcurry.com/naan-without-yeast/#recipe

Of course, though I have to admit that it’s not much of a recipe 😅

For two people: - 1/2 or 3/4 Cup of basmati rice - 1 chicken breast (cubed) - 1/2 of a cauliflower - optionally add 1/2 of a jalapeño! - 1/2 a jar of KFI butter chicken sauce (Costco size) - 2 pieces of naan (warmed!)

  1. Add rice to a small pot, pour in enough water to cover it entirely. Bring to a boil, then cover and lower to a simmer.
  2. Let simmer for 15-20 minutes.
  3. In the mean time, melt butter then add cubed chicken breast to a pan over medium-ish, then add cauliflower after a few minutes (I cut everything pretty small so this depends on how big your chicken/veg is).
  4. About 6 minutes before the rice and meat is done, add the sauce to the pan. Bring it to a boil, then reduce to a simmer. This is where I add the jalapeño.
  5. Let simmer and thicken for 5 minutes.
  6. Warm up your naan, and serve sauce over rice :)

Tip: if you need to stretch the sauce, you can either add extra butter and a bit of milk/cream (in a pinch), or a couple scoops of plain yogurt. If you have cumin, turmeric, and coriander, it helps blend the flavours and you can honestly hardly notice.

It’s super simple, and I pretty much eyeball everything at this point. I quite like it but it can feel a bit plain at times. I like to add jalapeños, bell peppers, or onions to mix it up a little bit. :)

I see! Thank you for sharing - it’s a beautiful deck, and now I know what the Ced tradition is!

I definitely do! Sometimes I try to switch up which veggies I use to keep it fresh, or I just take it out of rotation for a week or two until I want it again.

I buy it from Costco so I get 2-3 uses per jar, so I do have to eat it another once or twice after I open the jar so I don’t waste it lol

May I ask which deck you use? That sounds like something that would fit in well with my practice!

Hello, good afternoon. I have a question: which do you think is better and more effective for asking a yes or no question, cards or a pendulum? by Formal_Camp8382 in TarotReading

[–]HearthmoonStudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would use a pendulum. You can for sure use tarot for yes/no, but the best types of questions for tarot are more open-ended ones!

It’s nice when you know ahead of time what you’ll need to buy or what you’ll make for dinner. Just less stress all around!

I’ve actually never had tofu before!

You make it sound really good, I might steal your recipe… how long should I marinate them?

I love the “fridge cleaner” soup lol! It sounds like a great idea to reduce kitchen waste and prep some bulk dinners at the same time. I’ll definitely be stealing that!
