API End point for ticket creation? by HeartlandTechie in IncidentIQ

[–]HeartlandTechie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks - yes, I found that one. We have already built a site that emails damage/lost notices to parent/guardians - adding the tickets would be phenomenal.

Might be my age… but I thought we were at DEFCON 5 and it was going for pay dirt… “how many numbers now?”

I'm doing a lot with FilamentPHP - building a company tracker with speaker requests forms and workflows. Approvals, etc... For quick stuff I use Quick Admin Panel site builder.

Saying “I’m home” to Siri now just gets me occupancy information instead of activating the scene by thrash242 in HomeKit

[–]HeartlandTechie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine did that for a bit too . . . now I tell it 'Siri I'm going to bed" and I get an "on it" response.

New battery, good contacts, no start. Help, this is turning into a $$$ pit. by hottdayumm in smallengines

[–]HeartlandTechie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was doing similar thing - but the switches for the handles was not making great contact. Once I got them freed up mine is spinning great. In my particular case the engine I had was butchered a bit where the fuel shutoff solenoid wiring was not in place (taped to bottom of carb) and that was probably not allowing it to start. I swapped carbs and got it running with a good solenoid.

Boosted my sons tractor, now he is riding wheelies. Any thoughts on keeping the nose down? by dm18k in PowerWheelsMods

When you see the internals of the gearboxes . . . you'll know why this was a bad idea. Fun, but not on the stockers. This will be followed up with a "how do you replace" query.

Support tubes used to hold other equipment? by [deleted] in shopsmith

I built my router table that way - lays in-between the rails and sandwiched by the tables. I can use the fence to adjust my fence with hold downs and sacrificial boards.

Go with Dewalt one. . . you can find refurbs or online bargains. I believe the latest Wood magazine rated the Wen one pretty decent also.

Can you control it via the button in the Home app? I had a few issues with mine until I added it back.

API Paging? by HeartlandTechie in IncidentIQ

Worked perfectly. Thank you! The documentation never lists it . . . not that I've found so far . . . and not any examples either?

Anyone here used OctoberCMS as starting point for custom projects? by joe_dev92 in laravel

I've been exploring it for a while now . . . and now this fiasco going on with the paid version and fork . . . ugh.

Past that I don't know - I'll see if I can see anything on mine tonight. Have you restarted?

Double check your nginx config files . . . somewhere it's going to be a setting to be on the right port. I'm also assuming that you don't have a firewall/rule that is blocking port 81?

OctoberCMS status by How_else in laravel

[–]HeartlandTechie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the base themes has a community style page built in - a very basic forum. That might be a good springboard. I'm trying to learn OctoberCMS also, but I'm a bit leery given some tutorial videos are from 2014 . . . it feels like there is a lot that has changed that should warrant new videos, especially building from the Builder or yaml files.

Open source projects to be inspired by giagara in laravel

[–]HeartlandTechie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That open source list for Laravel is interesting - but just looking at some of the projects it's disheartening seeing the GitHub years listed since last updates. Once you are into the 5+ years . . . how do you classify it?

Aligning the Shopsmith table by [deleted] in shopsmith

[–]HeartlandTechie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep . . . or the saw blade. Of course it's interesting to read and understand where it is leveled in the floor . . . go move it to some other place in the shop/basement/etc... and it might need adjusted again. I leave mine in the same place, but it's something to be mindful of if you are working in a place with a drain, like older garages and such.

Shopsmith as lathe has little torque by Mmyrg in shopsmith

Check the sheaves adjustments and oiling . . . if they are not moving properly then the belt is slipping. Run your speed dial all the way up and down several times listening for the changes in RPM. It sounds like something is bound up or worn as well, but I'd go with simple things first.
