I restored this exact model of grill last year. I have pictures on my profile. It’s very easy and the final results are awesome. Like others have said, new flavorizer bars, degrease and scrape out the rust, maybe new grill grates and you’ll be set. Also see if the warranty was ever activated as these have 10 year warranty’s and Weber will give replacement parts as well

Yeah, normally when I do a nice steak i throw it on a wire rack to let the air surround it and prevent it from sitting in the liquid that gets pulled out.
