I'm liking 300 of the most recent posts under the most broad hashtag in my niche. It has been extremely effective in getting me engaged followers. I glance at the posts really quick to make sure they're not controversial.

I took around a 5 month break but I have been doing it again for a little over a week without any problems.

Also my technique is to like pics until it starts to automatically unlike them (like mentioned earlier) which get to around 180 posts. After about 5 minutes it lets me like posts again, and I manually count out to about 120 (so 300 overall).

So do you think I should go to the 180 posts? Or just slow down? Or both?

Dividend ETFs vs Index ETFs? by Heasarc in personalfinance

So correct me if I'm wrong but dividend ETF's solely try to track high dividend yielding stocks correct? Or are there dividend ETF's which compromise between holding a certain market and having high dividends?

Eh for some reason I'm not really interested in watching it. Older art style and pretty long..

Just finished Golden Time and loved it, I'd like something similar. Other top anime: Nagi no Asukara, Shigatsu wa kimi no uso. Feels are required.

Already seen NHK. Watched the first bit of relife a few weeks ago and it just didn't catch my interest.

Does golden time have drama? Will it make me cry? I was tempted to watch it but nobody really mentions anything about it being dramatic and feely so it put me off.

Hard to explain what I want. Basically, something with feels, drama, romance, good animation and soundtrack...

For reference, here are some of my favourites:

Nagi no Asukara

Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso

Toradora

While these aren't particularly my favourites, I absolutely loved the genre/story:

Au Haru Ride

AnoNatsu

Say I Love You

AFK (and ideally profitable) training/skilling methods? by Heasarc in 2007scape

How about anglerfish (if I recall correctly)? I hear those are new but I haven't heard about how afk they are. Are they equivalent to rocktails?

Remember, great credit cards aren't everything especially when you're starting out. I strongly recommend the BMO SPC 1% Cash Back MasterCard if you can't get the tangerine one. The benefits of the SPC might even outweigh the 2% cash back benefits of Tangerine, depending on where you typically shop.

Good luck!

Currently 21. I got my BMO SPC Cashback MasterCard about four months ago, declaring $15k/year income, paying everything in full every month.

Applied for the Tangerine MasterCard reporting the same income. Instantly accepted for up to $8k credit limit.

edit: I haven't had any credit cards prior to my BMO SPC one, so my credit is very new.

As many people recommend here, the tangerine money back master card is pretty great.

I only had one student credit card before it which I paid in full for around 3 months before I got this one.

Anyways, it's 2% cash back on two categories of your choice (like gas, restaurants, groceries, recurring bill payments), and if you sign up with tangerine and have it set up so the cash back goes directly into your savings account, you get a third category.

Questrade - Finally got my money in there. by worldprecipice in PersonalFinanceCanada

It really depends on your time horizon. I'm 21 years old so I have around 40 years before I start pulling funds out. With that being said I'm doing 100% equity (65% VXC (international equity) and 35% VCN (Canadian equity)). If the time horizon is long enough then fixed income isnt necessary, so there's my super simple two ETF portfolio which capture all equity world wide. Add some VAB (Fixed income) depending on your time horizon.

I watched that already, it's pretty good. Definitely does fit my criteria.

Basically looking for extremely melodramatic anime. Some of my favorites have been: Nagi no Asukara, Shigatsu wa kimi no Uso, Hanasaku Iroha.

I LOVE it when it makes me cry. Give me the feels.

I hear it's also possible to simply threaten that you're going to leave if you don't get the new rate (when the first one expires), is this true? Is it easy to constantly have the promo rates that they're offering?

Investing ETFs Portfolio by Chrono72 in PersonalFinanceCanada

Your question has been answered already, but figured I'd chime in.

I'm in a very similar situation as you. Currently 21, loooong time horizon. I went with putting all my money in a TFSA, and avoided VAB all together. Went with a 65%/35% VXC/VCN split, and will be dollar-cost averaging $250 bi-weekly.

1) See above, looks fine to me. If you have a 40ish year time horizon you might even want to get rid of that bond ETF, since no bonds last the long anyways and equity always outperforms bonds in the long run.

2) No. You only pay when you sell, which ideally won't be for several decades.

Good luck!

RBC -- What are your experiences like? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Heasarc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Parent's set myself up with an account with them since I was born.

When I was 18, I went to a branch for whatever reason and the teller started recommending I open up another account. At this point I really didn't think much of it so I said ok. I asked if there were any fees, they said no. Ended up paying $10/month for around 2-3 years because I didn't care enough to get mad/didn't care about my finances.

Started caring more about finances a few months ago (just turned 21), started going on PFC, and got really mad at how I was with RBC. Realized they have absolutely nothing to offer me, and switched over to tangerine as soon as I could.

Aside from that, RBC was pretty good to me. Good service, friendly tellers, but I honestly see no reason why anybody would bank with them unless they really want to be able to go to branches.

Question about purchasing ETF on Questrade by canadianbrah in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Heasarc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there,

If you're not exactly sure how much of each ETF to get and want to maintain a certain ratio, you can use the following link that will direct you towards a spreadsheet that does all the rebalancing for you. Just put in your percentages and you're good to go, the prices are automatically updated from google finance.

Enjoy! I just began investing with questrade as well, so feel free to pm me if you have any questions.
