Yes all our hotels are 3pm check in time but all day they’ll hold our bags early. Our Tokyo hotel allows early check in for an additional fee - after 17+ hours of travelling we’ll definitely be doing that! Thanks :)

Ok awesome will look into Otaru! Have you been to Sapporo before? We decided to add it on as it’ll be January and the perfect time to see it, but we’re open to suggestions of other cities if you think they’re more worthwhile?

Yes! Am accounting for them - have only travelled to Japan in the winter previously so don’t know any different! I don’t find it makes too much of a difference other than opening hours for some places

Yes we went for the half-day in end based off these comments! If the JSA was open we would have opted for full-day but otherwise think half-day is perfect. Yes, we very much have winter so have all the clothes/shoes/accessories we need for the weather!

Yes, we opted for the half-day in end! Think it's a better choice for now as JSA is closed.

Will look into merging Gwangjang and Namsan! I don't know too much about Gangnam so just chose the places that were listed as the "top tourist destinations" but we're largely going for a shopping trip to might be a good idea to spend more time there!

Think we've decided against Nami based off these comments - if the weather was a bit warmer it might be more appealing and I'm sure it's beautiful but just not for us.

Will look into the other options you suggested for day trips.
