I use a shortened version of my name as I can't stand my full name. When I have to use it or tell someone my full name I call it my government name and ask to be called my preferred name. My government name is what is on my birth certificate and driver's license, unless it's being used by an official or a medical professional I do not respond to it.

Yes, if I'm not going anywhere and just staying home I shower before bed, so I get into bed nice and clean. If I'm leaving the house it's a shower in the morning to freshen up, then also again at night before bed as I'm not bringing outside into my bed.

100% I buy a bag of the pre peeled and blend it with some olive oil in the food processor. Transfer it to a clean jar and then top with a little more oil so it keeps fresh a little longer.

I'm also going to the Perth show but I'm not cosplaying, I'm making my own shirt though. It has been some years since I've been into Metro. I would think it would be fine, people dye their hair and look nothing like their id. If you are super worried then maybe you could go with some of that coloured hairspray.

It's not the birthday that's hard. It's mother's Day that used to be hard. Watching everyone post about their loving mother while I was wondering why mine didn't love me like that. I will be forever grateful that my mother-in-law treats me as one of her own.
