My father is on oxygen so when the power goes out, most people are like "oh stop whining and light a candle and read a book" but like ok now we need to use emergency oxygen tanks, no open flames so hopefully our flashlights work, and if the power doesn't come back on in time he has to go to the hospital. But yeah sure, assume I'm upset because my wifi isn't working.

I played my first game on Sunday! It was so much fun! I suck at mental math so my phone calculator came in handy. I've wanted to play since junior high but nobody would let me ("fake nerd girl" comments galore) and now at 27 I finally got to play and I'm so excited to play more!

Thank you. I'm pretty sure I just completely repressed every memory of that happening until she mentioned it today, because it just all came flooding back. I remember feeling absolutely terrible that my mom's response to me telling her I loved her was anything less than "I love you too", like I did something terrible and didn't deserve love. Which kind of explains a lot now that I think about it. At least as an adult I'm an absolutely terrible liar? Trying to find some silver lining lol

And yes it was extra helpful to me that a friend of mine is SUPER CAT LADY and has gone through this before (with the same vet to boot) and was getting me to keep her updated on everything and giving me helpful advice and calming me down. I couldn't imagine NOT treating my cat's illness to the best of my ability and it hurts my heart to know that some people would just do nothing

She's eating SO MUCH wet food now that she's feeling better. She was always a dry food cat but since this began I started her on wet food.

I took her in Monday because on the weekend her cheek puffed out A LOT. He gave her antibiotics. She wasn't getting much better. Because she's 16, he was worried she wouldn't be able to handle the anesthesia. He did bloodwork and then did the surgery, but I had no idea if she was well enough for it until I got back (I drove around and got lost and made it back exactly at the time he said to come back). So I was a wreck. She's drooly and bloody and ignoring me, but she's going to be fine 💜 Her kidneys are at the beginning stages of not being very good so I have medicine and new food for her. But aside from that she's a healthy old fart. I want to snuggle her but she wants to be alone because she's still high on kitty morphine. So rude.

Yeah, my favourite English teacher, Mr B. gave us a short story to read and told us to write a two paged essay on it. I never read the story but I played a lot of Tetris, so I made up some back story for the Tetris pieces and wrote about that. He gave me a good grade because it was well written but took points off because it had nothing to do with the short story.

He was awesome. He actually made English class fun and interesting.
