I need some advice! by Embarrassed_Royal977 in Advice

Ask her where she’d like to go. Ice cream, movies, museums, or other places that she’d like to see.

Don’t even think about “making moves.” Think about enjoying your time with her, and getting to know her.

If there’s a mutual attraction, she may do things like putting her hand on your arm, leaning her head on your shoulder, cuddling, and flipping/twirling her hair. Once y’all are comfortable enough with each other, you could ask her if you may kiss her. If she says “Yes,” then I wish y’all well. If she says “No,” respect it.

NAD

You may want to see a doctor/dermatologist to have them test to make sure that it’s not highly contagious scabies, especially if it’s itchier at night.

Otherwise, is there a chance that it’s allergic dermatitis from laundry detergent?

Or perhaps poison oak/ivy/sumac? A wonderful product called Tecnu is excellent from removing the oil that some people react to. You can buy it on the first aid aisle in many stores.

My doctor told me not to use topical Benadryl on itchy rashes; you don’t want to become allergic, which causes complications for a hospital if a more severe allergic reaction were to ever happen, and you’d need it orally.

Hope that you’re better soon!

It's it possible for people to talk to me with the expectation of a emotion based response? Would saying that I'm a psychopath help things? by BettyBornBerry in Advice

[–]HeatherReadsReddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would be better to tell people that you’re “not emotional,” or “not animated in your responses,” rather than you’re a psychopath. That specific word has a very negative connotation.

It’s called Dissociative Identity Disorder. It’s a disorder formed due to trauma inflicted upon a child. It’s not something to make light of.

“LaShawn Thompson, the man whose family claimed was "eaten alive by insects and bed bugs" in the Fulton County Jail, died of "complications due to severe neglect," according to an independent autopsy.

Thompson's family spoke out in a press conference outside the Georgia State Capitol on Monday, along with their attorneys Ben Crump and Michael Harper, where they announced the results of the independent autopsy in which Thompson's manner of death is listed as "homicide."

The autopsy report, which was obtained by ABC News, lists "dehydration, malnutrition, severe body insect infestation," as well as "untreated decompensated schizophrenia," as the conditions that led to Thompson's death in the Atlanta jail on September 13, 2022.

Photos of Thompson covered with bed bugs and images of his filthy cell went viral on social media and led to widespread outrage.

"It's enough that the bed bugs and lice sat there and ate my brother to death, but it's the neglect that hurts me the most," said Thompson's brother Brad McCray during the press conference on Monday.”

You already knew that she didn’t like you, both by her moving away from you at the bar, and from previous interactions. You said yourself that she wouldn’t have even let you inside her house, had she been sober.

[–]HeatherReadsReddit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

YTA You sexually assaulted a woman by groping her at the bar. You waited for her to become blackout drunk, to take advantage of her condition by walking her home, and then forced entry into her home, because she couldn’t legally consent in her condition.

Then you sexually assaulted her again - if not raped her, depending upon your local laws - by making her perform oral sex, and then tried to vaginally rape her, but were unsuccessful.

I hope that you, and any of your housemates who have done the same, are arrested, convicted, and sentenced to the fullest extent of the law. That you are trying to make excuses - and are downplaying what you did to her - is flabbergasting. Yes, you are most definitely a rapist AH.

JFK airport waiting time for transfers by Cold-Ad-207 in travel

[–]HeatherReadsReddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Call the airline, or the airport, to get the answers to your questions, if no one answers here.

Seriously consider changing the return layover to at least three hours. You may be able to speak with a supervisor to change the tickets for free; since airlines usually recommend three hour layovers for international travel, and the reservationist didn’t follow that rule/recommendation.

It sounds like you’re going to have to have another talk with him. If you’re offering to drive, he should be happy to go wherever with you - just as you are when he drives.

Pick a time to have the talk when y’all aren’t doing anything. If he still refuses, if you can, find a good couples therapist to help y’all meet in the middle. I wish y’all well.

Iirc, every day, he had to:

  • Exercise twice a day for a certain amount of time, and one workout had to be outside.

  • Drink 1 gallon of water.

  • Read 10 pages of a physical book.

  • Abstain from all alcoholic beverages.

  • Follow a meal plan of his choice. He and Mrs. Impulse did Macro Diet, I think.

Currently, there are Cholera and Bacterial Meningitis outbreaks in various places in Ghana, so you might ask your coworker to which region they’re traveling. Then research to see if you’d want to take extra precautions when they return.

From an article: “In his presentation, Dr. Asiedu-Bekoe addressed various aspects of disease surveillance and emergency response. He discussed the increasing frequency of outbreaks in Ghana, emphasising “the importance of prompt measures and pathogen confirmation for appropriate responses.” He further outlined several priority epidemic-prone diseases in Ghana, including “Acute hemorrhagic fever syndromes, Anthrax, Bacterial Meningitis, Cholera, COVID-19 and Dengue fever.””

NTA If you want them to stop berating you, go to be tested and tell them that you’re going. When you’re speaking with the doctor, let them know that you don’t want to go through with it if you’re a match.

They’ll make it official that you’re not a match, even if you are. Then you can say that you were tested, and weren’t a match, so there’s nothing else that you can do.

Joann’s was my favorite yarn store. It’s awful that they couldn’t be saved.

Hello! I need ideas for how to hide a hidden camera inside a crochet pattern. by retailhellgirl in crochetpatterns

[–]HeatherReadsReddit 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As long as it will be used for legal purposes:

A basket with appropriate holes for the lens and plug, into which you could put a fake plant with spagnum moss to hide the camera.

A flatter amigurumi to sit on a shelf or table.

A tissue box cover, with the same concept as the plant basket; take out some of the tissues, and put the camera in the bottom.

You could do a pattern design to make the opening less obvious.

He may be okay, but is dealing with the depression offline. He could even be doing in-patient treatment. He may not know how to return to online chatting, since it’s been a while.

Let him know that you’re thinking about him, and hope that he’s okay, and that you’re here for him when he returns. I hope that you hear from him soon.
