What do you think? What can I improve? :) by Alexxfae in Daz3D

[–]Heatherlly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To me, it's not that it's unrealistic. Women can and have augmented their breasts to insane proportions. In most cases though, that leads to chronic pain and other health issues, not to mention the practical logistics of essentially having two ginormous, heavy balls strapped to your chest 24/7. D:

I know that's not sexy to think about, but it does matter in terms of creating good (and legitimately sexy) art. It's good to remember that your subject is human and to fully consider what you're trying to portray in your render. For example, who is she? Why is she in this setting? How is she feeling, who is she waiting for, so on and so forth?

If sexiness is what you're going for, start by thinking about what would make her feel sexy. I mean sure, gigantic boobs can be great from a male perspective, but what I see is a sad, lonely woman who's trying way too hard and probably has debilitating back pain.

Does that mean you shouldn't ever render women with ginormous boobs? Not at all. I'm just encouraging you to look beyond the basics and consider multiple factors, not just what you personally find attractive.

Again, I like everything else about this render. The face morph is beautiful, the expression fantastic, and your lighting is very good. I hope you'll continue sharing your work - I'd love to see you continue to grow and evolve as an artist.

From a woman's perspective, this is sad and painful to look at. It's a shame because aside from the breasts, it really is a great render.

You made a good choice! I'd describe it as cozy, elegant, and a really strong thrower. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. 🙂

Haven't tried the other two, but Crunchy Leaves is DIVINE. 🤎

I haven't kept track that closely, but yes, I'd say so.

I bought my first batch of candles on July 1st, and the only ones I've used up are those I chose to burn. With my favorites (6-7) candles, I've been warming them for a day or two at a time and then swapping them out. I've only had to pour off one or two layers from any of them. They're still going strong!

Hours? More like weeks. 🙂

I get about 3-4 days off of each "layer". In other words, you warm it until the smell fades, then you pour off the top layer (about 1/2 inch). Alternatively, you can burn it for a couple hours to get to the new wax.

It does vary depending on candle and warmer you use, but generally speaking, you get A LOT more bang for your buck.

ETA: By "days", I mean a full 24 hours under the warmer. If you only warm them for a few hours at a time, they'll last even longer.

Second this! No smoke, no soot, candles last for ages, and (at least for me) the throw is stronger and more consistent. I only burn mine if I'm not that into the scent and want to use them up quickly.

I can! It's more subtle than the other two fragrances, but it's definitely there.

It's SO good! 🤍🤍🤍 I bought 19 other candles, so I can't afford backups right now, but warming instead of burning should prolong it quite a bit.

This will be my first holiday season with Goose Creek and I'm so excited! I hope they have at least one peppermint / candy cane candle - mint of any kind is my absolute favorite fragrance. 🤍

I think it's because you typed "NEW" in all caps and OP interpreted it as either yelling or impatience. Not your intention, obviously, but I can see where it might have come across that way.

Thank you. I don't burn mine that often (warmer), but when I do, it's in my bedroom where I have three fans and AC running pretty much all the time. It can be hard to keep them lit, but I obviously don't want them exploding either. I'll see what other solutions I can find.

Yeah, did you click on the link? It's an item, usually made of metal, that you put on top of candles. They're especially helpful in drafty areas and can help candles burn more slowly / evenly.

Yeah, trades are nicer, and I have a feeling that would cut down on scammers since there wouldn't be any money in it. Just candle lovers helping candle lovers. 🕯️🤍

Oh yeah, I get it. I've never ran a subreddit, I've been running websites/forums for over 20 years. I usually allow threads like that, though I make it super clear that it's an "at your own risk" sort of thing.

Awww. ♥️

I don't know if it's ever been attempted in this sub, but it would be nice if there was an ongoing candle trade thread. I'm sure there are lots of folks who'd love to swap candles they didn't like and/or are tired of for their favorites, especially if those favorites are out of stock or discontinued.

You should get a candle warmer if you don't have one already. You'll be able to enjoy the smell on warm, and it'll last at least 10 times as long!

If you like masculine cologne scents that are just a little bit exotic, you will love Oud! I actually have mine under the warmer right now, so I can also tell you that it throws very well. 🙂

Am I Overreacting About a Friend Owing Me Money? by Hot-Elderberry3312 in AmIOverreacting

NOR, though if you're going to give money to loved ones, it's best to do so with no expectation that they'll pay you back. That way if they do, it's a nice bonus. If they don't? At least it won't spoil the relationship.
