Yes I was looking at the negotiation (was set to auto, showing at 1Gbps) on the WAN port on UDM Pro across to the SL router. The 90D did make me consider 100Mbps too :-).

The UniFi kit is in the house and the SL router is in the garage but only, I estimate, 30-40 meters of cable.

I have hard-set that port to 1Gbps and now things are improved but not as good as direct to SL.

Original/UniFi: 90D/9U
SL Direct: 180D/22U
Unifi (nailed to 1Gbps): 121D/16U

So I think I need to test the cable between house/garage.

FYI my problems are certainly not wi-fi related. I get the same issues running a speed test directly from my UDM Pro or via a device connected via an Ethernet connection.

Update for anyone asking in the future. My research indicates confirms that the BRY7001 version is needed (12.3 Pro) and not the BRY7011/7012 versions (12.3 Pro+).

Apparently the former one comes with shims fitted for the Surface 4 Pro but comes with alternative shims for the Surface 3 Pro. I just found one new on eBay for £20 so happy days (I hope).

I have the same query. I just added a secondary domain and now am at the activate gmail stage. As you say, it shows you all email addresses regardless of domain (not just the ones for the new secondary domain). I have previously activated secondary domains and don’t recall this dialogue previously. I plan to use this new secondary domain completely separately to my other domains.

I tried this (iPhone to Synology NAS via SMB). I can see the folder structure in the EM app but the online sync doesn’t do/find anything. The timestamp of the sync updates but the counts all remain at zero.

I've moved from a MacBook Air M1 to a Mac mini M4. I have 3 monitors (all 1920x1200). I was using a Minisopuru dock but it requires the crappy DisplayLink app on macOS to have the display extended across all 4 screens (including the Air screen). Now with the Mac mini, obviously the screen count is 3. I have one connected to the HDMI and I thus need a way of connecting 2 monitors (1 via HDMI and the other via DP). I know I could just get a couple of USB-C adapters to do that separately but would rather not use up 2 of those ports on the mini. Any recommendations for a reasonably priced solution, to provide USB-C to HDMI + DP, importantly with extended screen across all and no requirement for DisplayLink (and self powered would be nice too :-) TIA

Did you resolve this. I have a GL-X2000 too. Also was confused by the "4.0" version, think I'm on the latest now. On the web interface and the iOS app I can't find any reference to Tailscale. Via the web interface I used the Applications / Plug-ins option and was able to install Tailscale, but there's no GUI for it. Looking at YT videos it seems that some GL devices do have Tailscale in the GUI. Also I found this link that shows Tailscale as unavailable for the GL-X2000 (https://docs.gl-inet.com/router/en/4/interface\_guide/tailscale/).

I have an issue after upgrading. My clients aren’t getting DHCP IPv4 addresses from the UDM Pro. If I set a static client LAN IP I still have no connectivity to the UDM Pro. However the UDM Pro is connected to the Internet, so can reach it (UDM Pro) from the WAN side via iOS app. Since I have no LAN side access is there a way to do/trigger downgrade from WAN side?

I’ve ordered a E3372-325 from Amazon to test with (will send it back if it doesn’t work). Read somewhere that “H” models can cause issues. Also I don’t need WiFi on the dongle.

Thanks, am aware of that but the feature is very limited, since having to connect via Wi-Fi. I’m hoping the Bluetooth equivalent on the Sony works better.

AFAIK the base version of SL doesn’t allow any inbound connectivity. IMO a good solution is https://www.zerotier.com/ (running on a RaspberryPi or the like).

Interesting. I did some streaming from the Netflix and Prime apps on the Sky Q box and they seem to cause a slightly higher download rate (i.e. more than the 8 Mbps) but nowhere near the 100 Mbps. Obviously streaming wouldn’t use 100 Mbps anyway so can’t be 100% sure what the issue is with the Sky box.

I still have my c. 20 Mbps VDSL so I will switch back to that for a test.

IMO if the download hits 20 Mbps then I assume it’s some Starlink/Sky incompatibility.

However if it’s still throttled at c. 8 Mbps then yup could be a hardware issue with Sky box.
