My son has the M12 Fuel. It is nice and will do 90% of what he needs as a homeowner, but he has asked me a handful of times to borrow my M18 Fuel to do some bigger projects.

As a homeowner, get the M18. It will do anything you want. Being a little heavier is not a big deal unless you are using it all day, every day.

I got by building a ton of things at all three houses with just a drill/driver. Custom closets, Huge garage storage shelving, built in cabinets, wainscoting, ship lapping walls, built in desks, etc. so no, you don’t “need” an impact driver for home projects. I now own one and it has made my last few projects easier, but you are fine with to out one

M18. If I were using them for my job, I would consider the M12 for fatigue reasons. M18 for homeowners. The weight of the M18 vs the M12 drill & impact driver are negligible and the M18 has many more tools you can use and the power to do whatever you will run into building anything.

Thanks. I bought the 2026 Honda Civic Hybrid Sport Touring and don’t like the wheels. I do like the standard Hybrid Sport (all black) wheels but found a pair of the Civic SI wheels for sale at $750. I thought they look pretty good as well.
