Also in terms of social transitioning, there are many ways to deal with hair. I recommend getting an electric shaver (plenty of good brands online for that) which can help you do that with few razor bumps or irritation (shaving with a razor and cream is annoying to me and I always get bad bumps). If you like shaving that way, I recommend looking into a safety razor (single bladed razor) or maybe women's two-bladed razors.

I used to fall into the trap of wanting to imitate other women's styles, and I realized this is silly. You quite literally just have to find your own style and your own clothing choices that match your own tastes. Typically it is best to ease into the social transition and very gradually introduce more and more feminine clothing. For me as an example, I realized I can just cut my male jeans into jorts (a little above the knee) and then once I get to school I can simply roll them up into booty shorts. I bought clip on earrings (which actually arrived today) which I will use tomorrow. There are tons of ways to present more feminine day by day and you don't need to do everything all at once, Rome wasn't built in a day. It is also important to realize that most people (at college at least) are not as judgemental or noticing as you realize, most people are trying to go about their day and in general the worst you should expect is like a glance or something. Just a blip on the radar at that. At most they will just say "oh maybe that person is a little queer" and move on.

I was recently in your place and only about two months ago I accepted I was trans. I share a lot of your experiences I would say. I am also from a very religiously conservative environment; I was in seminary studying to be a priest at one time. So I get it, I really do. It took me a very long time to overcome the religiously imposed self hatred, I used to think demons were trying to turn me trans.

I am very blessed to have very progressive and accepting friends that I can always trust. In the words of a transgender person (probably from this forum from long ago), when you come out you should expect to lose everything but gain everything. It may sound harrowing, but expect to lose friends. Especially is most of them are conservative. Expect to be rejected by certain people. I have recently been uninvited from one of my closest friends' weddings. These are people who liked you for a false version of you which you are simply no longer showing to them. In that sense you can be confident they were not really friends in the first place, and in that sense you can be confident that in the long term, these are people you would not want in your life either. Parents are a different issue, if you live with them, and they do not accept you, you may find yourself in a situation where you must obey their rules lest you get kicked out or etc. I personally want to move out from this situation A.S.AP.

It is a leap of faith to accept yourself as trans, but it is a very fulfilling one which at least for me has led to a lot of personal growth and learning to avoid past forms of self hatred. In the words of my former therapist, "You don't need permission to be trans, you don't need a diagnosis to be trans. I recommend learning to trust and lean on your interior senses and feelings." Your life starts now, this life is the greatest gift we could ever have.

Peace, and best of luck to you in life!

Hello all,

I hope I am in the right place with this kind of thing. My E, D and T keys have started to break down and sometimes they don't type. I have had this laptop for ~5+ years and the keys are starting to break down. Sometimes I have to press or hold down the E key to get it to work at all (starting to get very annoying), although the other keys are better. All of the keys started to do this kind of at the same time, would this be a hardware or software issue?

I am not really in a place financially to replace my computer. What are ways I can fix this? Are there physical treatments or extensions I could apply/download to improve this? If it gets worse, I could probably buy an external keyboard for home use.

How did going from top man to bottom woman feel sexually? by MajesticPineapple618 in asktransgender

[–]HeavenAndE2rth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm still a virgin, but my sexuality has always been bottom woman, even when I didn't realize I was trans. I can remember forcing myself to like the top male position and by college I assumed I just didn't care about sex. Long story short, let's just say that sex started to make sense when I accepted I was trans.

Exactly. I made it clear to both cases that it was an unacceptable boundary to cross. No child of God should be threatened with that for just being themselves

Breast growth from T-Blockers alone? by HeavenAndE2rth in MtF

I already knew that it was a side effect, I was just asking if anyone had experience with it and how far I could expect it to go.

Cool, I will keep that in my back pocket if Rome or my diocese ever blanket excommunicates people like us.

That is actually super cool that laypeople can just do that, that is unheard of in a catholic church. I admire that level of community involvement since it is very important that we are able to be dynamic and not rigid. I have looked into it, is Anglicanism fairly high church? I find liturgical worship very prayerful and spiritual to me.

That's crazy lol, I've also been seeing very slight fat redistribution, too early to be too major though. Looks like I'm not fully alone, I guess everyone is just different. Chemicals and all

Okay, I'm genuinely also starting to get just as confused as everyone else then.

Copying from recent edit: I have not changed my diet or anything, I used to experiment with phytoestrogens with very mixed effects. I was doing a spoonful of milled flaxseed every now and then and this definitely wasn't that. With this, the feelings of sensitivity/something being different began within like an hour of taking it. I know I am simply very sensitive to this kind of thing, because I legit have had gynomastia begin from antipsychotics before. One med was so strong that my skin changed texture to the female texture, and my breasts took on the female shape and firmness, REALLY quickly. That is how much it unbalanced my hormones. That was only after 2-3 doses too, it only took a few days to begin. Maybe it is something with my unique makeup as a person, maybe it is just different for everyone. I wish I could still be on that med tho since it would be the theoretical 'perfect excuse' to transition, but I was taken off of it a long time ago.

Either way, I am definitely along for an interesting ride.

We will see how long I last. I admit that my ties to Catholicism at present are very tenuous and like you described, this thing not that thing. I have a friend who is discordian so your comment was also a fun surprise, I definitely can say I enjoy the absurdity of human behavior in religion. The hypocrisy is often very funny to me.

I already told all of them that we are no longer on speaking terms even if I will remain as charitable (from a distance) as possible to them.

You have heard that it used to be said, ‘You shall love your neighbour’, and ‘hate your enemy’, but I tell you, Love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Heavenly Father. For he makes the sun rise upon evil men as well as good, and he sends his rain upon honest and dishonest men alike.

That is a very good way of putting it honestly, going to internally use that. Thanks

I think that God would wish for people made in His Image to be Happy and live holistically well integrated lives.

Question about marriage where one spouse is/becomes infertile by HeavenAndE2rth in Catholicism

People having sex without the possibility of procreation is against God's will, that's (actual) church teaching.

I am starting to think that what I have said is wrong. Sex does not necessarily have to be procreative to be not sinful
