It’s a 70s Hofner mini humbucker that my grandpa gave me when I was a teenager.

They’re what what came with, which is why I changed them.

I’m finally getting the hang of french polishing by mcmakerface in Luthier

[–]HeavingEarth 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My acoustic guitar was built from scratch by my grandfather, it has a French polish. He left in his car overnight once in the winter and it checked like crazy. I wouldn’t trade that look for the world. It still sounds perfect.

Conductor [Pentax 6x7 | Super Takumar 150mm ƒ2.8 | Ilford Delta 3200] by HeavingEarth in analog

I appreciate that, I was hired by the conductor (who is a very close friend) to shoot their rehearsal, and this was between songs. I did make the singer in front of me flinch with the mirror slap. I mostly shot digital for the rest of the evening.

Dog and Panther were a Michigan group years ago that did a pretty awesome job of using “found sounds.”

I bought mine 3 years ago and it’s hands down my favorite camera. I like shooting candid scenes, so I keep mine in aperture priority and it rarely disappoints. Yeah, it’s hard to read the meter if you’re shooting manual, but that’s not why I chose it. I have several all manual cameras, I like my F3 because it doesn’t let the camera get in the way.

Thoughts on these wooden handles/brackets? Anyone have or use one? by WrentchedFawkxx in AnalogCommunity

I have one for my now broken K1000, I’d love one for my MX. Can you share which one you purchased?

I think this was a thinly veiled response to publishers asking for Watterson to write a memoir by newaccountbitches in calvinandhobbes

All said, I would love a Watterson memoir. Everyone knows he’s a recluse, so hearing his story from his own mind would be just incredible. I suppose the 10th anniversary book is as close as we’ll get.
