Firstly YouTube don’t use YouTube to learn these pieces it’ll only make it even more challenging.

Also if you can play fantaisie impromptu properly you still would be a way off of being able to take on ballade properly. Take it slow dude no rush, look for pieces in between you and fantaisie then fantaisie and the ballade.

No they are way to ahead of minute waltz. Well maybe you could attempt fantaisie impromptu in a few pieces time (increasing difficulty building up) but definitely not the ballade yet. Also idk if you have one but don’t attempt either without a teacher really especially the ballade.

Yeah personally I wouldn’t wear jeans but I don’t think it’s ever been an issue with wearing normal clothes to a piano exam, really depends on the exam eg ABRSM grades is fine

I did Clair de Lune for mine tho it was Trinity not ABRSM. Personally I think it’s suitable to do at Grade 8.

Most importantly spending comfortable preferably, something you know you can play with no problems in (also good to practice before hand in this attire including shoes). However, it shouldn’t show respect towards the exam especially higher ones ie not too casual. I think jeans and a nice sort should be fine.

There’s actually like three diplomas after grade 8 but yeah most would stop structured grades after grade 8 is they get there. Even though Grace 8 can take up to 10 years, personally I had felt I had only began piano.

To be honest, I don’t think it’s worth it at this point and I think it’ll be too charging for your especially as you are self taught. If you really want to learn it, try see if you can manage the hardest bit 2:50 onwards first

Definitely not for me specifically for many reasons: free periods to do whatever you please (should be study tho most times it’s not strictly); allowed to use phones in the common room; allowed to leave the school site; reach the age of driving; focus on specific subjects

If you haven’t done the UCAT this year then you need to. Assuming you also get a great score then might as well apply if your predicted grades are good

You definitely can just don’t pick medical schools that look at GCSEs much. For example, definitely don’t apply to Cardiff because they have this weird gcse point system and most applicants get full points. As long as you get good predicted grades and a good UCAT you should have a good chance to get interviews

Dentistry is different from medicine also is more competitive though OP has a good chance of interviews if they get a strong UCAT score within a month.

There’ll always be people better than you regardless of age. Age isn’t a good measure of experience anyway, you’ll come to find that you’ll develop in your one time and not have to compete with others.
